What style (specific make) of boot should I buy for my wife (hope to spend $150-$250)?
I would like to get the tall (knee-high) style of boot that are popular now, either the biker look or the riding/equestrian look. The one I had originally settled on is the Anne Klein "Cairine" but I am having second thoughts. I like the AK Gleama but the largest size it comes in is women's 10.
My wife is 5'9" but has pretty big feet (women's size 11) so the style/make needs to come in that size. She is very pretty and looks great in long, fitted styles (i.e., straight-legged, flat-front pants, tight long-sleeve sweaters, full-length coats, etc.) She is a beautiful woman; tall and slender, more sleek than curvy. The celebrities she most closely resembles are Carla Bruni and a young Natalie Wood (plus a lot of people say Sandra Bullock.) She is Portuguese (2nd generation American) and many people mistake her for Italian or Greek.
Your ideas are appreciated, however, please be as specific as possible in terms of make and brand.
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHow do you explain this?
There are 7.5 gallons (or 7.48051945 to be more exact) in a cubic foot. If I take box that is a foot tall, by a foot deep, by a foot wide (1' x 1' x 1') then I have a box with the volume of 1 cubic foot, correct? However, with the 1 cubic foot box, I cannot fit 7.5 gallons in there, I can barely fit 1gallon. Please explain this discrepancy.
4 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoDeath Certificates for Stillborn Infants?
A death certificate is issued for a stillborn infant, right? (if someone knows with authority the answer is no, please confirm). If so, is there a gestion limit or cut-off when it is too early for this to happen?
Please no intentionally stupid or insensative answers, this is a very delicate matter.
17 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoResearch on Men in Black, Atlantis, Quetzalcoati, Bigfoot, and Similar Phenomena?
I have recently read a few different books on the possibility of an advanced civilization that existed prior to all record history, with a handful of survivors of what may have been a man-made cataclysm. The theory continues that the survivors may be part of what is reported as legends such as Quetzalcoati and other “civilizing forces” as well as meddling forces such as “Mothman” and the “Men in Black.” This connect work on pan-dimensional beings and parallel universes, which holds that phenomena such as Bigfoot and UFOs are the result of temporary intersections between these dimensions and ours.
Anyone come across specific writings or research on along these lines? Would appreciate sources.
8 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoWhat is the Difference Between Clinton and Bush on Embryonic Stem Research Funding?
In other words, what is the difference between the bill President Bill Clinton signed into law in 1995 (the so called “Dickey Amendment”) which makes it illegal for Federal money to be used for research where stem cells are derived from the destruction of the embryo, and H.R. 810, which President George Bush vetoed?
I understand that President Bush also provided $100 million in funding for embryonic stem cell research (and that funding wasn’t provided during the Clinton Administration) but I am asking about the bills specifically.

What is the meaning and origin of the TOWANDA! bumerstickers?
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhat is the meaning of this bumpsticker: blue square with two yellow parallel lines (like an equal symbol)?
I have seen this on cars and it seems to convey solidarity with lesbians (not gay in general or just lesbians specifically, but seems some how related to lesbians). Can someone (or more) explain:
1) what does it mean?
2) what is its origin?
