Would this be considered improper etiquette on the part of the inviter?
I was recently invited out to lunch by a friend. We hadn't seen each other in a long time, so I jumped at the chance. But when he asked where I could afford to go, and I said I was broke (medical leave) he more or less said never mind. Then.. And this is just as bad.. He invites me to join him and his wife for coffee today. Knowing full well I don't have a vehicle and am still recovering from surgery, he says "Sorry. My car is too small and full of stuff to pick you up."
3 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoCan blood thinners cause you to over heat faster than normal?
I'm on lovanox injections and warfarin twice daily, and at 83 degrees, I feel like I'm in the middle of the Sahara desert. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned?
1 AnswerHeart Diseases8 years agoIs stinging an ok sensation in an incision?
I had surgery on my ankle on Thursday, to get two torn tendons repaired. I've never had any sort of surgery before, so I'm not sure what is or isn't normal. Every so often, I'll get a stinging sensation on my incision. No burning. No aching. No feeling of tightness, is if it was swelling. And the sensation only lasts a couple seconds.
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management8 years agoIs sexual predation a learned behavior?
I recently learned that someone very close to me may be on the road to becoming a sexual predator. How much of the predatory behavior is learned? And how much is just a deviation from the mental and emotional norm?

3 AnswersGovernment9 years agoTactile hallucinations?
For the last couple of years, I've been feeling "spiders" crawl on me. I know they're not there. But it gets horribly annoying. Before my medical coverage was terminated by the state, I was in counseling, seeing a psychiatrist, and taking a pleasant cocktail of medications, ranging from various antipsychotics to the most amazing psychotropics. All, of course, were prescribed. Hmm... looks like I've wondered off the question format a wee bit. I do tend to prattle on a bit. But anyway.. does anyone know of a homeopathic treatment, that's not terribly expensive, that would rid me of these horrible phantom spiders?
4 AnswersMental Health9 years agoShould i call the fbi?
I was cleaning up the left over crap from an ungrateful roomie and found some frightening things. Gas charge discs for portable nail guns. Over a dozen of them. All intact. Mercury bulbs from thermostats. Intact. LOTS of copper wire. Glass bottles. Screws, nuts, bolts, and a gutted radio (which one of the bottles would fit perfectly into). All of these items add up to one thing in my mind. Bomb!!
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoDestructive compulsions?
All my life I have had to fight the compulsion to destroy things of value or importance. But only my own things. Like if I'm in a car and my phone is in my hand, I have to put it in the console or glove compartment, or I have the overwhelming urge to just pitch it out the window. Anyone else have this issue?
1 AnswerMental Health9 years agoHow can i remove stickers from an antique dresser safely?
An ex roomie was oh so kind enough to let her daughter plaster one of the drawers of my grandfather's antique dresser with about 30+ stickers. How can I remove them without damaging the wood or the finish?

A friend wants nothing to do with the father of her child. He has shown no interest in their daughter until recently. She is currently petitioning the courts to have all his parental rights terminated so she can make a completely clean break.
