How do you plan a vegetarian meal if you are a reformed carnivore?
I am transitioning my family to a more vegetarian diet and without meat as a centerpiece of dinner, I'm a little stumped. I can do the one pot stuff, and we love it, but how do you do everyday meal planning?

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoIs there anyone else who thinks that the vegetarian section should have been about recipes?
I am always amazed at the bizarre and sometimes hostile subjects in this section. I mean, for heaven's sake we're talking about food. I'm always hoping to find a new way to cook lentils and I'll see some weird question about are vegetarians weird or elitest or are meat eaters mean. Is anyone else tired of this, too?
8 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoHow do you find clothes for a nine year old who is already in junior sizes?
She's exceptionally tall, so the kids sizes don't fit anymore. But so much of junior clothing is either too mature or made for a body with curves, which she doesn't have yet. Anyone know where to shop?
7 AnswersParenting1 decade agoMy dd wants to get her ears pierced but we've done this before and the holes just wouldn't heal? Any ideas?
Would she do better with 14k gold or earrings especially for sensitive ears? Has anyone else had this problem? She's 8.
6 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoWhat's for lunch other than salad?
Seriously, vegetarian breakfast is easy. Vegetarian dinner's a snap. But lunch is a quandary. I don't really want to cook, don't always have leftovers to warm, and can only stand salad a couple of days a week. What else is there? Help, I'm desperate.
13 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhen a child picks on another child, do you buy the story that the bully is jealous of the victim?
Personally, I never really believed it when I was the one being picked on and now that my daughter has a problem with another girl in her class, I still don't think it's true. My husband is the one trying to feed this nonsense to her. Why do kids pick on particular kids and what do I teach my daughter to do?
9 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoDo you think the time will come when everyone will be vegetarian?
Do you think there will be a day when all people are vegetarian. Not vegan, maybe but when no one eats meat. Or do you think that we will come to a time when factory farming is ended and people might still eat some meat, but more responsibly?
16 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhat's your opinion? Would you let your child get sunburned?
I was at the park with my kids when I saw this little girl in a halter dress. It was obvious that she was getting a sunburn on her back and shoulders. If she were mine, I would have taken her home, she's really going to suffer. Her mother, on the other hand, seemed totally oblivious. What would you guys have done.

3 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoPlease help me with this potty training dilemma. ?
My three year old was doing very with potty training except for pooping in the potty. I know she was capable because she never, ever, had an accident when we weren't home. Still, she continued to poop in her pants. Finally, I put her back in pullups because I was tired of trying to clean out real pants and occasionally having to throw them out. I told her that when she starts pooping in the potty, she could have her underwear back. It started to work for a few days and then she pooped in her pants again. I tried to not to make a big deal about it. But now that she's been in pullups for about a week, she's starting to pee in her pants again. Total regression. I give up. What am I supposed to do now?

4 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat do adult adoptees think of open adoption? Would that have made a difference in your life?
So many of the adoptees here have issues because they had no information or contact with their first parents. Would it have been better if they had still been around, just not raising you?
11 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoSo often you hear the stories of kids who are bounced from one foster home to another.?
My question is, why are children moved around so much? Not the ones who are returned to their families and then removed, but the ones who spend most of their childhoods in foster care. Why does the system bounce them around so much?
