Calculations for herbal mixtures?
whenever i visit my herbalist, she writes down my prescription for the dispensary to make up, and she always writes down all the herbs with either a 5, 10 or 20 beside each one. She always ends up with a total of 110 or 120. I just wondered what is the theory behind this? why does it always have to be the same total? just curious, any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

3 AnswersOther - Europe1 decade agoWeird sensation in chest?
I'm not suggesting i have something dangerously wrong or anything, just wondering what this is...
I have recently been getting frequent numb/tinglyness across my chest i.e around about my sternum. It feels like that sort of numb 'fuzzy' sensation you get before you get pins and needles. It doesn't last for prolonged periods of time, probably 30 secs at most but the fact it's a fairly recent thing and the increase in frequency has me a bit concerned.
Any info would be interesting to know.
Thank you :)
11 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoLadies/medical professionals, i have a question...?
I have suffered with anorexia for a long time now, i am still underweight (bmi of 15.1). I have had ammenorrhea (absence of menstrual cycle) continuously for a few years aat leastnow. However, today i have noticed some light bleeding. I am a bit worried, as it's quite unusual for such a low weight. Anyways, my question is; in your opinion, should i be worried or should i just take it that my body has decided to work normally for the time being??
I will go to my dr but being that it's the weekend, and there are no dr's on til next week, i thought i would ask on here...
Thanks

3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agosyndrome statistics help?
Can anyone give me a statistic for how many children born are born with a genetic/chromosomal syndrome? A percentage or ratio or whatever and be for the UK or the world. I am not interested in any particular syndrome, rather just syndromes in general. Can you please also state your source as i must be able to check it's a reliable source.
Any help would be great as i seem to have lost the quote i originally had and i can't find it anywhere and it's making me cry.
Thank you thank you!!

5 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoSome hair help, please?
I have long, naturally straight hair, well, straight/wavy/frizzy-ish lol. I love curly hair and i tong it into loose curls everyday, or most days. As you can imagine, it gets very boring and repetitive having to do this all the time. So, my question is... Can you get a loose curl perm that would save me from having to tong my hair everyday? I wouldn't want a perm that made my hair into those tight spiral curls, just nice loose cascading curls.
Thank you :)

My parents are ging on the long long drive from Scotland to South Devon at the weekend, so i said i would make them a nice picnic for the journey (there's nothing worse than service station food!).
