I am in high school and I am seriously considering becoming a dental hygienist! The job sounds fun, rewarding, and is in the healthcare field.

So I know that I would really like to be a dental hygienist, but I don't know how the job will work out in the long run as I start to age. I really haven't seen very many older hygienists...either most of mine have been young, or something about being a dental hygienist makes you look younger :) Once a DH starts getting older, does he/she go back to school to be a dentist, teach dental hygiene, etc. ??

Also, is the job VERY tedious? Sometimes I get very frustrated sewing.

Hello! I am going to be a junior after this summer in AP English. I am going to try to read a book a week to help raise my ACT and to be a more well-rounded reader for English class. I have already read (and am in the middle of reading) To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Expectations, Romeo and Juliet, Of Mice and Men, The Catcher in the Rye, Cold Mountain, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Macbeth, and Fahrenheit 451)

Can you recommend any books that have some literary merit? (preferably not banned books.)

I loved Jane Austen and I also like mystery. To Kill a Mockingbird was really good but I also love romance.

(FYI....although I said I want to become a more well-rounded reader, I am really not a fan of poetry..so none of that(: )

I am doing a school project that is going to be a documentary . I wanted to include some older commercials in it; however, I am pretty sure this would be a violation of copyright. I know how to take videos off of youtube, but I do not know how to get permission to put the videos in my video and properly give credit at the end of the video. Also, the commercials that are on youtube are probably violating copyright because they are not the original owners..so would this change anything? Should I just not include the commercials or any other videos from youtube in my documentary?

I love this sport, however it is very expensive. I am not like those girls who get everything they want and all of the cute skating things as well as unlimited ice time. I guess you could say I am just a normal 15 year old who loves to ice skate :)

Well here is my question. Are there any of you who have jobs while ice skating? I really want to get a job so I can pay for a few more lessons... perhaps maybe just a summer job at our local grocery store. My parents pay for the lessons I have now but I feel like I need more ice time. My parents already pay for the lessons I have now, but I have a sister who also skates so I feel bad asking for so much ice time..so I want to get a job. What I am worried about is that it will defeat the purpose and I won't be able to ice skate as much as I would like to. Right now I am not sure I can have a job during the school year because I have a hard enough time trying to practice while maintaining a 4.0. Soo..advice? What do you do?

Concealer:

I am 15 so I need a great concealer that I can use anywhere on my face. I get very few zits but when I get them, they are in the t-zone. I have normal to dry skin. My concealers usually do nothing to cover redness and blemishes and so I am willing to fork out at least 15 dollars or more if the concealer is great.

Eyeliner:

I am looking for a good pencil eyeliner that glides on nice but doesn't sweat off in heat or slide of your face. I want one that I can smudge and put in my waterline without vanishing even with a little eyeshadow to set it.

I would like to get them at ulta however I have a sephora that is kind of far from my house.

Price isn't really a big deal if the product is good quality.

I would love it if you could give me a few tips or just tell me how you prepare your tea along with what type it is. And yes, I know not ALL English people like tea however I was hoping I could get a few tips on making tea.

Also do you put milk in your tea? Sounds kind of nasty but I have never tried it.I have some twinings black tea that I can't wait to try out so if you drink black tea please tell my how you drink it.

My dad has like a bunch of free stays at any holiday inn sooo we want to go on a vacation. We are researching a few places and seeing stuff that we would like to do.

If we go to hawaii, which island should we go to?

A little info:

My dad really enjoys swimming and hiking. So does my sister..they are the swimmers of the family. Snorkeling would definitely be something that they would enjoy. My mom and I are scenic people. Shopping, some hiking, spas, tours, sight seeing, and lootss of hanging out on the beach are stuff we enjoy. We both are not very good swimmers. We both can float, keep our heads above water, and we can do a few strokes but we aren't very good haha! :D If it isn't to deep we would probably enjoy snorkeling. Our whole family definitely wants to taste the food there and go to luaus and experience all of the Hawaii stuff..if that makes sense?

So, with the information I just told you, what island(s) do you think our family would enjoy the most?

I am a somewhat beginner in makeup. (I've been wearing makeup for a little over a year) My collection consists of mostly drugstore. The only high-end makeup I have is mac. (Lipgloss and a powder blush)

I feel like I understand makeup more and I want to expand my collection with some items that are worth the buy.

Please tell me a few mac items that you would suggest I purchase to start me off. Also, please suggest any eye palettes that I should buy. (any brand) I like more neutral colors and maybe some purples because I have brown eyes.

I will be getting Jackson Freestyle THIS WEEKEND! I am so excited. (if you can't tell by the capitalization hhah)

Anyway I am getting them hopefully next saturday or maybe if I am lucky, earlier!! :) Last Saturday we ordered them because the shop was out of stock in my size :( They said that it will probably take around a week.

So, here is my problem:

Saturday is the day of my lesson...

Should I go ahead and use my new skates? Or, should I use my old skates.

Problem number two:

I am giving my sister my old skates. Her current skates hurt a lot so I would hate for her to struggle learning her elements because her feet hurt. She has been complaining that it is hard to do some things because the boot is too tight. While she takes my skates, we are going to sell her old skates at the rink and I will get new ones. If I get my skates right on that saturday then my feet will probably hurt a lloott at practice. I am trying to improve my scratch spin and I know that you aren't supposed to go all crazy right when you get new skates.

What do I do?

a. Go ahead and wear the new skates. I will get a head start breaking them in.

b. Make my sister wear her skates one last time so I can use my old skates.

c. Other

My makeup style is pretty simple. For me, I play it simple with eyes. I usually wear a little mascara and sometimes I have a neutral eye. Rarely I will have a dramatic smokey eye. My favorite beauty items are blush and lip gloss! I prefer to experiment with lip color and blush color opposed to trying dramatic eyes and bright eye shadows. I guess you could say my makeup style is fresh, youthful, and neutral which I think is appropriate for my age (14).

My makeup collection is mostly drugstore and I was looking to branch out into higher end makeup. I have 60 dollars that I am willing to spend but I also have an extra 100 dollars that I miiiiight use for makeup. I kinda wanted to use that money to buy some good jeans or go to forever 21 and buy some winter items. I really don't want to spend 60 dollars on makeup but I will if the products will last me.

Please don't suggest foundation or concealer because I prefer to spend more money on cleansers rather than on face makeup. I'm good with getting a nice face system and using my sonia kashuk tinted moisturizer :)

I bought it at Tjmaxx and I looked online to check it's authenticity by looking for signs. The TM is smaller than the "BORN IN THE GLAMOROUS USA". As far as I know it is real but I was kinda wondering how old it was. Not because I think it is rare but because I got it at tjmaxx so you never know. It is in good condition and came in its original box.

Personally, I don't use lip liner, but I was reading a recent issue of 17 magazine and in the section titled "Beauty Master Class", Bobbi Brown used lipliner and clear lipgloss on a model. What do you think about lip liner and lipgloss?

If I wear a tampon while swimming, will it get wet from water and become useless? I have worn tampons before but this is my first summer with my period and I am not sure if I can still swim. Will the tampon still do it's job if I am swimming? How often should I change it BEFORE it leaks? (I don't want any leakage so blood doesn't show in the pool *shudders*) Thanks!!

I have never played tennis and I am looking into practicing with my friends and possibly getting lessons to ready my self for when girl's tennis starts at my highschool. I am going to be a freshman and I am not very muscular and I am thin. I have never played tennis before. What kind of racket/racquet should I purchase? I would prefer if I can purchase one at target, sports authority, or maybe even walmart because I know my mom won't want to spend too much if I am going to try out the sport as a beginner. Thanks!

Well, I am a girl, and I was thinking about trying tennis out in my freshman year. There are not cuts and you automatically are on the team if you still want to continue after the first few days. I have a friend that started tennis in the seventh grade and played in eighth as well. She really wants my friend and I to do it with her next year for freshman year. Tennis starts when school starts which is in August. I am bad at badminton but she said that badminton and tennis are different. My other friend, she goes to a different school, didn't make the tennis team (the coach only wanted experienced players and cuts were harsh) so she did badminton instead. Does that mean badminton is easier? So I am confused, will I be bad at tennis if I am bad at badminton?

The friend that wants me to do tennis says that there will be a bunch of girls that have never played that are going to tryout. She also said that her, my other friend, and I can go to the YMCA and practice together during the summer to get ready for tennis.

Should I try tennis? What kind of gear should I start off with? Is badminton like tennis? Any links, advice, tips, or any information about tennis is welcomed. Thank you so much!

Okay so my old cat named Sophie lived 18 years eating purina cat chow without any vet visits. She was not overweight or underweight.

Now I have a new kitten named Buttercup (nine weeks old) and I am feeding her Purina Kitten Chow. The vet said that I should stick with the Science Diet kitten food that the humane society gave me. When I gave Buttercup the Science Diet, she did not like it and she would meow for my family's food at dinnertime. We did not feed her our food, instead we sat her down in front of her bowl of Science Diet. Realizing that Buttercup would not eat the bag of Science Diet, we bought Buttercup a bag of Purina Kitten Chow. Buttercup LOVES the kitten chow. I read up about Purina Kitten chow and I learned that it isn't a very good food BUT how did my old cat Sophie live so long and healthy with Purina Cat Chow? (She was a Maine Coon)

I think I am going to stick with the Purina Chows unless someone tells me what should I switch to and why because Purina Cat Chow seemed to work for Sophie.

What are some healthy treats I can feed Buttercup?

When we adopted our kitten, Buttercup, we were given a free bag of Science Diet. We tried feeding Buttercup Science Diet but she just sniffed it and walked away. Later when my family was eating at the table, Buttercup kept on meowing for our food. We did NOT feed her our food. I picked up Butter cup and put her near her bowl of Science Diet and she still didn't take a bite. I know that she was hungry so i am guessing she doesn't like Science Diet.

I know that Science Diet is a high quality foot because the humane society where we adopted her recommended it and so did our vet. My only problem is that Buttercup will not eat it! My old cat lived to 18 years while eating Purina Cat Chow so we thought maybe Buttercup would like Purina Kitten Chow. We went to the store the next day and got Purina Kitten Chow for our kitten and she loved it. She ate up every piece we gave her. Should we continue with Purina Kitten Chow? She seems to like it, but when we told our vet she said that Science Diet was a much better choice for our kitten.

A few days later we wanted to get Buttercup some canned food to give her some variety. We picked Fancy Feast for kittens. I saw it on commercials and my friend fed her cat Fancy Feast a lot and her cat seemed to like it. We purchased a few cans of the turkey one and Buttercup LOVED it. The moment I opened the can she meowed for it like crazy!

So I know that Purina Kitten Chow and Fancy Feast aren't the best, but our kitten likes them instead of Science Diet. I want our kitten to be healthy but I don't want her to hate eating and continue meowing for our food at dinner time.

What should I feet Buttercup? I would like to give her a variety of canned and dry food. Thanks so much!!
