I am a 17 year old girl who wrote an essay on a film I watched in school and am interested in trying to publish it.

Do you know of any publications (magazines, newspapers, online) which would consider this type of essay?

When Ferdinand and Isabella married, they finished la reconquista by conquering Granada, the last muslim kingdom, which they finished doing in 1492.

Why didn't they then go for Navarre and Portugal? Is it because they were both Christian kingdoms? What parts did the kingdoms of Navarre and Portugal play in the 1400's?

There is a girl and we used to be best friends, but now for reasons to complicated to go into I don't really want to be best friends anymore. I am on my school cross country team, and starting about a week ago I began feeling pain in my right hip. The pain isn't on the outside of my hip, but more on the inside. Also I am not in a lot of pain WHILE running, however walking around afterwards is painful and causes me to limp. I tried to take off running for a day, but this didn't really help the pain. I'd also like to try ice, but have no clue where to put the ice seeing as the pain is very sort of internal.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be OR how to treat it?

Some websites (ie flickr, tumblr, google docs) allow for you to tag images with certain keywords and then you can browse them by tag. I was wondering if there is any program on your computer that will allow you to do that? [if it matters i have a macbook]

I get what a supercooled fluid is, I just don't get how it happens on the molecular level.

I know this girl....She is incredibly intelligent, she majored in both english and chemistry in college and graduated Summa Cu.m Laude. She even designed the chemistry curriculum for freshman at her college. She participated in a chemistry group, and although she received the highest grades, she is the only person in that group that is not in Grad School.

Also: She was born and raised in California near SanFrancisco. She went to college in Philadelphia. Rather than move back to California, she remains in Philly more than 2 years after graduating college.

Where is she now?

Teaching highschool chemistry. Why would such an intelligent girl choose such a path? Just ideas... I always wonder about it.
