  • What happens to a child in foster care when parents are dead?

If a child's parents are both dead, the child has been in foster care, and no one in the family is able to take the kid what happens? Do they just state in the foster care system until they turn 18 or until a random person adopts them?

If there is a distant family member willing to care for the child do they just do it through the state as a foster parent for years or somehow get guardianship or what?

  • Designs on cloth diapers...worth it?

I am going to make the switch to cloth diapers and have just started to buy them. I can't figure out why anyone would pay extra $ for these cute pocket diapers with patterns and designs when it has to have a cover anyway. You aren't goin to see the pattern even with a white cover over it right? Am I missing something, or are there times when they don't need a cover??? I don't want to waste money if I can get something that is plain white and cheaper. kwim

  • For those who chose not to find out the sex...?

If you chose not to find out what you were having and had the baby...

Was it worth the wait or would it have been just as cool to find out during an ultrasound?

My appt. is this Wednesday and I have two girls already. Needless to say the whole family wants a boy, I don't care either way. Hubby is reluctantly agreed to not finding out. I'm kinda getting anxious now and am thinking about changing my mind. I only have two days...what do you think?

    Would you do it again?

  • where can i have a water birth in rhode island?

I want to have a waterbirth for my 3rd. I live in RI and I think my hospital (woman and infants) only allows you to labor in the water and not actually deliver. Does anyone know of where I can actually deliver in the water close to home? Home birth apparently isn't an option in this state, so that's out I guess. I'd even bring my own birthing tub if they'd let me. Thanks
