I am very much eager to purchase one book on the "Fundamental Laws o Nature". When I search Amazon or Google I get plenty of books. The query has also been placed to amazon.in. Now seeing a few pages or book review or even the contents I am not getting myself in a position to select the book.

Now let me apprise you what exactly I want in that book:

1. The fundamental physical laws that governs the whole universe (not only earth or solar system)

2. basic laws of chemistry

3. basic laws of biological world.

Again if these spheres can be merged along with mathematics to derive such laws.

Of course the book will be scientific. It may involve philosophy too. But it should not be Metaphysical/ Spiritual/Religious. The later is not my target.

Hope I have conveyed my requirement.

Please take your time. But please recommend me a couple of books with reasonable price so that I can afford them.

I have been smoking for past 15 years. During last three years I have repeatedly attempted to quit smoking, but could not resist the temptation after 3-4 hours of the last cigarette.

Can anyone suggest what can be the best way to quit this bad habbit.

I am using treadmill for average 17-20 minutes.

I walk @4.8 to 6.0 km/hr. with an average speed of 5.4 Km/hr.

It burns about 100 cal.

My query is, this exercise is sufficient for me. My age is 34 years, weight: 78 Kg. and height 5'7".

But I astonish when I think about its glorious history. Is this the country which gave birth to Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism? Is this the country which have taught the world self-tolerance and non-violence?

What is the ROOT CAUSE of present day corruption that is silently killing the essence of the nation and challenging its glory?

Hi, I wish to write a cgi code and run it. Suppose the code is as given below:

When I run this code as .pl file in cmd.exe the result is wierd.

I am at a fix. I am not a computer person.

Basically I am a novice in PERL and learning these languages for bioinformatics.

I am suffering from chronic acidity. The burning feeling in the stomach sharply increases if i eat wheat products and sweets.

The only remedy to this intolerable pain is taking beta-blocker antacids (Rantac etc.)

Will it lead to Gastric Ulcer.

Is there any tit-bits to encounter such problems.

You know, the SATSANG VIHAR (DEOGHAR) OF THAKUR SHRI SHRI ANUKUL CHANDRA has one wonderful system for gathering the donations from the devotees. They emphasize on giving away some money or oyher material every day as "Ista vriti" from the devotees to run the expenditure of all their activities. They get get it done through the clergy man (Ritwik) who in turn gets some miniscal amount as their pranami (or what so ever).

Now my query is How much one ritwik (on an average) may earn in a year from this component of donation.

Please reply if you know actually and/or you wish to utter the truth (without suppressing the fact).

I have found the Maharajas and the whole-timer devotees of Ramakrishna Mission are toiling round the clock for social and spiritual upliftment, helping the penniless (students, patients) and above all reviving our humanitarian attitude.

While the Satsang Deoghar devotees are more interested in "man making" activiies. Howbeit, the system of creating and using the clergyman (Ritwik) is unique. What else do they do?

I will highly appreciate if you please shed light on these two avenues.

One important point: please dont belittle any organisation, unless it is logically vindicable.

Certainly the lives and teachings of Shri Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansha and Swami Vivekananda are not same, or even similar to a great extent. Shri Shri Ramakrishna emphasized on pure devotion and advised to be free from "Kamini-Kanchan" (Behavioural desires and avidity). He has stressed on wholesome Devotional path (Swatwik Bhakti Yoga). While, Swami Vivekananda, left no stone untouched to teach people self-renunciation for the benefit of mankind. He advised and have himself followed the path of hard-work (Karma-yoga).

How can I relate between the two paths?

Dear Friends, please suggest me how to undergo one training program (15 days to 60 days) in Bioinformatics ate IMTECH, Chandigarh. Actually I have heard about this, bt upon visiting the IMTECH site I am not getting any detail, presently.
