what if US kind of law now applied to polygamist's ranch was applied in Arabia in 6-7th century BC ?
Would that have stopped one man's religion before it got off the ground ? With centuries of female subjugation till today ?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow did an ex-Muslim figure out from history what many Christians do not know even now ?
Explaining his decision to convert to Christianity, Magdi Allam stated,
“Having been condemned to death, I have reflected a long time on the value of life. And I discovered that behind the origin of the ideology of hatred, violence and death is the discrimination against Israel. Everyone has the right to exist except for the Jewish state and its inhabitants…Today, Israel is the paradigm of the right to life.”
How do you explain how Magi allam zeroed in perfectly on Satan's eternal hatred of humanity paralleling with his hatred of the Jews as the first peoples who turned back to God after generations of Adam and his descendants and subsequent wholescale attempts throughout history to eradicate them ?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas this prophecy on the Jews come true and when will this experience end ?
Deuteronomy 28:64 The Lord will scatter you among all the peoples from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone, whom neither you nor your ancestors have experienced. Yet even among those nations you shall find no peace, nor shall your foot find a place to rest. The Lord will give you there an anguished heart and eyes that pine and a despondent spirit. 66 The life you face shall be precarious; you shall be in terror, night and day, with no assurance of survival. In the morning you shall say, "If only it were evening!" and in the evening you shall say, "If only it were morning!" — because of what your heart shall dread and your eyes shall see.

13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHelen Schucman author of "A Course in Miracles" and Fr Benedict Groeschel who delivered her eulogy ?
Mrs. Schucman, co-author of "A Course in Miracles", who said "suffering did not exist" died a painful death from pancreatic cancer barely a year after publishing the book "A Course in Miracles". Schucman, a Columbia University professor and psychologist, was an acquaintance of Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel, C.F.R.. Fr. Groeschel gave a eulogy at her funeral. Fr. Groeschel wrote, "This woman who had written so eloquently that suffering really did not exist spent the last two years of her life in the blackest psychotic depression I have ever witnessed." Fr. Groeschel is a holy, practical, wise, no nonsense priest, and psychologist. During an October 1994 lecture on "Discernment" given at Holy Cross Church, Rumson, N.J., Fr. Groeschel stated that he believed that Helen Shucman's experience with the channeled "spirit" was possibly a true diabolic manifestation. Fr. Groeschel's experience as a psychologist and priest included being called upon by his Bishop to investigate reported diabolic manifestations in his New York City diocese. In the lecture Fr. Groeschel described one experience — called as an exorcist — where he witnessed objects unexplainably being thrown about a room. At the end of a lengthy discussion he attributed that particular experience to paranormal manifestations — but not diabolic in nature. According to Fr. Groeschel, Helen Schucman's "channeled spirit" denies that our Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth in the flesh. An abstract of "the Course" can be written based solely on two lines of the "spirit" channeled writings.
Are there allusions to scripture as to the quick fate of those who practise being "gods" like Helen Schucman ? Was she merely used till she reaached the maximum effect and then disposed of by her favourte spirit ?

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agopastor hagee finally changes the ministry of Jesus to fit his own new doctrine?
This guy has been preaching war a long time against Muslim countries, effectively taking the bait that radicalsin those countries are throwing us. Now, we need to defend ourselves, but we do not have to reciprocate hate.
As expected Hagee has gone further and now says that Jesus did not come to be the Messiah because he hopes the "real" messiah will hate and destroy all the Muslims.
With such heretic preachers, do Christians need any enemies ?
New Age is waiting in the wings, hoping for this war so that he Age of Aquarius can begin. Christians should not allow their religion to be turned into one preaching hate by heretics like hagee. Do you think Hagee will lose many church members now more than ever ?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you think Al Gore personifies 666 ?
Al Gore embraces the mystical spiritual evolution teaching of Eastern religions, the same ones from which Adolph Hitler
followed in building the Third Reich. He seeks his wisdom from the world's pagan religious where its basic premise is that
man exists for nature. He endorses feminine substitutes for God. He commends Bahaism, the religion of Maurice Strong,
head of the recent United Nations Earth Summit, as well as Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism. He affirms the New Age (spiritual
evolution) teaching of Teillard De Chardin, the excommunicated Catholic archaeologist. He points to what de Chardin said,
'The fate of mankind, as well as of religion, depends upon the emergence of a new faith in the future.'
Gore identifies the root problem of Western culture in that "we lost our feeling of connectedness to the rest of nature"
and finds answers in pantheism. He attempts to blend Christianity and pantheism where the source of all life, instead of
God has become Mother God, (Mother Earth/Mother Nature also frequently referred to as Gaia). He, like the radical
eco-feminists who support him, see the earth as the pagan goddess Gaia who "has been seriously 'wounded' by the
expansion of human civilization, and now there must come a universal atonement for these many millennia of grief on 'her'
part" through an event or process they call 'cleansing.'

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoConnection between 1 Corinthians 3:17 and the fall of the Afghan monarchy and start of Afghan misery ?
Dr. Wilson had asked President Dwight Eisenhower to appeal to King Zahir Shah for permission for the Christians be allowed to build a church in Kabul on a reciprocal basis since the Muslims in America had been given permission to build the Islamic Center in Washington. President Eisenhower made the request on his visit in 1959, and the King granted it.
However, in 1973 the Muslim government went back on their word and moved to destroy the building. One day a bulldozer appeared at the site of the church. When they began the demolition, a German businessman, Hans Mohr, went to the Mayor of Kabul to see if he could get him to rescind the order. The mayor had been educated in Germany. Mr. Mohr said to the mayor, "If your Government touches that House of God, God will overthrow your Government." Quoting I Corinthians 3:17, he said "If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him."
They finished the destruction of the Church on July 17, 1973 and on that very date, the Government of Mohammed Zahir Shah was overthrown in a coup and the 227 year old monarchy came to an end forever. The next decades brought the virtual destruction of Kabul, wars, millions of refugees, a communist government and the Taliban.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre Catholics the only denominations that have a real fear of modifying the Bible throughout the ages ?
The Jews at the Jamnia council in 100 AD and Martin Luther and the stock of so many different Bible authors didn't seem to have any qualms about doing so to further their interests - namely preventing more Jews from becoming Christians after the destruction of Jerusalem in 73 AD, or in creating a doctrine in the 16th century modified to start a new church, from which many other churches appeared.

especially when they find out all those lies they've been fed by their 10% tithing preacher and wife throughout the years. I see a lot of it once the ex-fundies do their research and find out they've been lied to, by Jach Chick et al.
I think we should all love each other, but I don't think the pastor making up al those lies is going to get away that easy in front of Jesus for dividing his chuch.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDa Vinci code wrong because Leonardo da Vinci was gay ?
If you looked at all the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and studied his history, what would you really think ?
Mary Magdalene or an effiminate androgynous St John.
The painting was coded but not in the way the author thought but simply testified to Leonardo's procilivities of the homosexual kind as evidence in other paintings like an effeminate St John the Baptist and masculine looking androgynous females in other paintings.
How could they miss what is obvious from his entire record of paintings that he cast the "beloved disciple" as effeminate, as he would have liked it ?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoLeonardo Vinci , San damiano crucifix, homosexual artists and attacks on the church through artistic imagery?
Was Leonardo da Vinci a homosexual and so heavily involved in sodomy, that he was finally thrown in jail for 60 days for sodomizing a young underage 17-year-old male prostitute and model named Jacopo Saltarelli, frequented Florence, the capital of sodomy and loved to paint the androgynous figure. (obvius in St John the Baptist looking feminine and his female figures ooking masculine) What of the obvious imagery on the San Damiano crucifix ? Doesn't this mean the church cannot trust its artists (as it knows from its own history?)
