I have to use Google maps in order to get letters and numbers for roads, highways, cities, and all else. This makes using Google Earth very frustrating having to have both things open and bouncing back and forth between earth and maps. I have checked for the latest updates and seem to be up to date. Am I the only one having this problem or is this just how it all works? I didn't have this problem a few versions ago.

I picked out an emerald ring a couple of weeks ago for the deep dark emerald green color of the stone. I went to several other stores in the mall to compare prices of the same ring and couldn't find another one as dark as the one I liked. So I went back to original store and bought the emerald ring with the dark stone, they said it had to be sent off for sizing and would call me when it was ready...

A couple of days ago the jewelery store called to say that there was a problem with the sizing (a problem with sizing up?) and it would be a couple more days. I said fine call me when it is ready. So two days later a different store representative calls me to say my ring is ready to be picked up. I go in the next day as the store is opening and tell the first rep I see (the first person to show my this ring before I decided to buy it) that I am here to pick up my ring. She ignores me...I tell the second rep in the store at the other counter that I am here to pick up my ring and she finds my ring and has askes me to sign a receipt of pick up but I wouldn't sign it until I took a close look at the ring. I looked at the ring and found that it has a lighter colored emerald than what was originally there when I bought it! I am livid! I explained to the lady at the counter that this is the wrong stone and confirm with the first lady in the store (the first person to show my this ring before I decided to buy it) that this is the wrong stone and she says to me "you weren't supposed to be called yet". She verifies that the stone is not the original and then procedes to tell me that it will be another two weeks while they send it back to the jeweler to fix this error! TWO WEEKS?

Does anyone else have stories like this or is this common practice of jewelers to put an obvious different stone in a piece of jewelery?

My 12 year old son just started 7th grade. We have always had an open and loving relationship. He has recently decided to start giving me the little white lies about where his belongings are and what he is doing. I know that the lies aren't "big" and these things will happen but I am looking for advice on how to handle these lies when I catch him telling me lies. I have a previous question about this and was judged for being a parent who spanks my child. Let's get this straight... he has not been spanked in about 2 years but has had his fair share. The reason I am here and NOT spanking him is because I don't think that the punishment fits this crime.

He has always been praised for being an honest and forthcoming person by his teachers and other parents but recently he has been getting caught by myself and his father is some lies. Now these aren't serious lies but little things like the location of his wallet when really he lost it at school and "I was putting my folder in my backpack" when the folder was left in his locker. Any suggestions from parents out there? I should tell you that we run a tight ship around our home and I have always been a tough love type of parent and never a soft/easy going parent. I don't beat my son but he has had if fair share of spankings over his 12 years of life and I am not sure how to handle his testing of my limits.

I have a large tank that has been all cleaned up and ready to use but it still has that white build up (I don't know if it is hard water or what). I tried a scratchy pad that won't scratch the glass and it didn't do anything. Rinsing this tank is going to be very difficult as it is too big for me to just take out to the yard to hose it out. I can't move this tank from where it sits. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated but they really need to be realistic. Thank you.

I got the flu on Wed. last week and still have this horrible weakness. There is no more fever, aches, chills, etc. I still have a cough but that is normal for me but this weakness won't go away. Just when I thought I was starting to feel better I got light-headed and weak all over again. Anything I can do to get pass this?

Every time I go outside for a walk my legs start to itch uncontrolably! I just thought it was me at first and then a relative started compaining of the same problem everytime she walks. Anyone know what causes this? I do plan to ask my Dr. about it but I want other opinions.

I can't match up a lot of trees by looks and name so I am just looking for a browsing site where I can see what different trees are called. I am in the western US if that is any help. Thanks in advanced for any links.

I live in the northwest so ticks aren't as common in some other places so I've never seen this before but...

Can ticks get all the way under the skin of a cat? This stray that's been hanging around for quite some time now has two bead size really hard lumps on her right shoulder and I can't find a body of a tick or entry point or anything but it feels like a tick and the lumps are in a vein. Even though I can't see a tick or bug there it looks just like it should. I know that we do have some ticks around here and I pulled one out of my other cat about a month or so ago but this just seems really weird.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also note that I have worked for a large shelter and a veterinarian for several years but this has me stumped.

Why on earth do people show their dogs for competition? I watched the last 15 minutes of the dog show last night and am so disappointed in the fact that I saw a owner/handler using color to enhance the look of a beagle. When the person pulled the cloth away from the dog it had brown color on it. I have always watched this show since my teen years and have now decided to not watch again. I thought that breed organizations showed dogs to show off the best of the breed and breed qualities but how do they know whether that particular dog is the best of the breed if its color is being enhanced? Also, I understand looking at the dog to make sure it doesn't have any physical imperfections but what about breed personalities? How can the judges judge the working or herding groups and choose the best of the breed if they can't see these dogs perform to breed standards? Honest answers please. Thanks in advance!

I have a 87 honda foreman trx 350D 4x4 that won't hold a charge. I got a used voltage regulator and that didn't help. We can charge the two batteries that we have and run the quad for a few hours but it just sucks all the juice and won't recharge itself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, a new voltage regulator is about $400 so I am trying to find a less expensive route before spending that much.

At this point whomever is voted in as president is too risky for this country. This country can't afford any more risks and every question I read is vote for that guy or vote for this guy. How 'bout we just quit voting and let the citizens of the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA run this great nation of ours as our forefathers intended.

I'd like to hear how people from around the country prepare for deer/elk hunting. I am particularly interested in blacktail hunting for that is what I hunt in the great Northwest. When do you start preparing for your hunting trips/season and what do you think works best?

Why does the hospital need to send the placenta to pathology on premature babies???? Baby born at 24 weeks gestation. Please help us understand this.....
