Water on bathroom floor?
My basement bathroom has been getting water on the floor, but I cannot determine from where. In the room is a toilet, shower stall, sink, and my hot water heater, water softener and the floor drain.
The water is clean and clear. The shower does not get used, so it is not coming from there. The cabinet for the sink is dry, so it is not the drain or feed lines for that. The water is not near the closet with the heater and softener. The drain is clear, and flows freely. I have replaced the floor seal for the toilet, but I am not convinced that this is not the problem. The toilet, shower and sink are on the wall near the foundation. Since the water is clear and clean, I doubt it is outside water.
Is there anything I can use to help me pinpoint where the water is coming from? The way it pools, I am not getting my clues.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoHotels in Dallas that shuttle to Cowboy games?
I am wondering if there are any hotels in Dallas, downtown or Market Center areas that offer a shuttle to Cowboys games. Not looking to stay in Arlington etc. Going to be there for several days in Dallas, and want to be closer to downtown.

2 AnswersCelebrities8 years agoWhat news show had an episode about Louisiana police...?
pulling over motorists, and confiscating money and cars without cause? This would have been in the mid 90's. I recall they took a car with cameras inside of it, drove down I-12 (I think), and not breaking any laws. They were pulled over, and asked how much cash they had. Some show like dateline etc. If someone can point me to online video of it, you get 10 points.
2 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoHow many calories would it take to raise core body temp 1 degree F.?
When check my temp, I am always running cooler than normal, around 97.5. How many more calories would my body burn to get 1 degree, in estimation? This may help me understand why I maintain my weight with far fewer calories than others.
If anyone could provide a link to a source, that would be appreciated.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy would someone place toilet paper on the rim of a toilet?
At our office building, someone is placing toilet paper on the rim of the toilet, where the pads on the seat make contact. I am not talking about placing toilet paper on the seat where your butt makes contact, but on the rim, where the seat makes contact. And it is just a couple squares, and it is always where the little pads on the seat are at.
The boss asked around, and no one from our company has fessed up to it, so it must be someone from one of the other companies.
Can anyone shed some light onto this mystery for us?

1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHow do I keep my ribs from drying out?
I have a smoker. It is an electric one. I try to smoke ribs with it, but they keep drying out. I never let the water run out. There is no means to regulate the heat. This is only after a few hours. It is the Brinkmann electric smoker.
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat should be the logical recourse?
If someone were arrested for wearing a handgun in a holster on their hip, walking down the street and was arrested. If he was somehow convicted of a crime, and no appeal worked, what should be the logical recourse?
*tricky question, but I doubt many will understand*
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow do you pronounce this name: James Wesley, Rawles?
Is it just as it sounds, but James Wesley [long pause as the comma denotes] Rawles?
Is this for effect? Who puts a comma in their name? Shouldn't it be James Wesley-Rawles?

Can someone point me to a reference for some odd football card values? Talking about Action Packed prototype cards of Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Jerome Bettis, a special braille card of Troy Aikman, some early 90's Bowman gold foil cards.
Did not find much with Beckett or Tuff Stuff.
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhen arriving at boot camp...?
is there really an amnesty room (or whatever they want to call it) where you can leave anything you should not have, and they do not care who brought it or what it is?
I seem to recall seeing a show about boot camp for the army, and the Cpl. told the recruits "you can have a brick of cocaine"
People walk into an enclosed room and shut the door, then leave anything illegal, or not allowed at boot.
10 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhy do people not understand?
When presented with the argument that any right is given to the people by the constitution, yet the government wants to infringe/limit that right, why do people just say "Because the government said so." or "You just can't." or any other variation?
Have we become that apathetic that we just do not care as a society about the rights guaranteed by our forefathers? Do they not understand that by limiting one of these rights, it reduces the effectiveness of the others?
I asked about open carry of guns, and wizjp says "because their legality was upheld" No thought went into his argument, he just took what he was told, and accepted it as gospel. Others essentially said "you have to get a permit" or "local laws say you cannot" Do they not understand the basic meaning of each word?
If the army said they were going to move troops into their homes because the state passed a law, would they just let it happen?
If the government said you could no longer be a Catholic, or Muslin, or Lutheran, or Baptist because they passed a law, would you just take it?
What about if they walked into your home to install a cameras and sound recorders around your home so they can see everything you do at all time, because some judge said it was legal, you would allow them without a bit of protest?
I guess as long as we have our american idol, and woman with a gazillion kids on TV, we are happy.
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoShould GW Bush have faced consequences...?
when he set up 'Free Speech Zones' at his rallies? When he decided that anyone with an opposing point of view could not voice them anywhere near him, directing people to these free speech zones, or even having them arrested, should he have faced consequences? He did vow to protect the constitution of the United States, and then spit on it by denying people their first amendment rights.
Should he at least have been removed from office?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoQuestion on open carrying of firearms.?
How can any court convict a person for carrying a handgun openly if that person is of age, has no convictions of any kind, and there is one other thing I cannot remember... give me a second.
Oh, that's right. There is that thing called the constitution which has a part called the bill of rights. The second amendment states that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"
This is the ultimate law of the land.

6 AnswersHalloween1 decade agoHow best to diffuse a situation at work with my boss involving his son, who essentially works under me?
In my job, instead of getting someone qualified, or even interns to help me accomplish work, I was given my bosses son. His son goes work that I am responsible for, but I am not allowed to do anything to ensure the work gets done by him. If I tell him something needs to be done, he may or may not do it. If I tell my boss there is an issue with his son's work, he freaks out.
Last week my boss flipped out. He said there is no way I am doing any work because of problems that are not getting resolve. He said I was basically stealing from him by not doing my work. He demanded to know what I had to say. At the time, all I could say was "There is nothing I can say."
Essentially, I am going to have to do all of his son's work, plus mine, making me work 12 hours a day, and being diplomatic, I want to find a way to let my boss know that I am dedicated to making sure the job is done correctly without making it seem like I am saying I will just put in more hours, or that I am doing his son's work.
With things as they are here in the USA, I do not want to lose my job.
