  • Can my ex husband seize his child support order since our children are receiving the supplemental SSI benefit?

My ex husband has been diagnosed as disabled. He has modified his child support order, based on his social security benefits. I have gone to Social Security as well and applied/filed for supplemental SSI benefits for the children. I haven't received any child support since November of 2010 and have been struggling financially. My ex husband was notified that I filed and that the children will begin receiving financial benefits, beginning in April. He has since filed to suspend/seize the child support order, deeming the ssi benefits will suffice. Can a child support order be seized?

  • Is it cruel to put a tabby male cat outside in the cold weather?

My neutered male cat occasionally would urinate in the house (while the cat box was kept clean). Finding from research informed that male cats will continue to urinate, to mark their territory. Upon discovering this, I have since kept my cat outdoors, which he is not too happy about, since he is used to the warm home. I do however bring him and keep him in a room of his own in the basement, where he has a comfortable bed to rest on as well as the room to roam. Do you feel this is mean? I have gotten some harsh remarks from others. I am also in the midst of finding him a home where he will be allowed to roam the home as he did before. I have new carpet and don't want it ruined by him.

  • Question about ebay purchases?

I just recently placed a bid on an item from ebay and my bid won. Since then, I have found the item much cheaper. Do I have to follow through with my bid? What are the consequences (if any) if I don't? Thanks!

  • Fin rot on a goldfish?

My goldfish (had it for about 7 weeks as a baby) has fin rot. SInce I was unaware that goldfish need a habitat of at least 10 gallons, I have since kept it in a 1 gallon tank. As a result of stress, it developed fin rot resulting in a tail that is now 50% deteriorated. I am treating it with Megaflux (or something like that) but am wondering what it's chances of survival are? Also, would I increase it's survival rate if I move it to a bigger habitat? Lastly, will it's tail grow back? Thanks in advance!

  • Unreliable attorney who is ignoring my email?

I have emailed my attorney on Friday of last week (regarding my impending divorce) and he has not replied. I have a feeling he feels what I asked (advice on marital property and uncooperative estranged husband) was petty, to him. I know I should call him but I don't know what to say and I also know every phone call (as well as email) will cost me money from my retainer fee. Can I report him, since I paid him to help me legally end my marriage? Thanks in advance.

  • Fever with accompanied pain in the lower neck/throat in a 5 year old?

My 5 year old daughter woke up today complaining of pain in her neck and came home from school with a fever above 102. She immediately informed me of pains in her lower head and in the sides of her throat. I called her pediatrician who said if the fever is not reduced by Tylenol/Motrin (which I've given her which did lower it but not eliminate), to take her to the ER. She has been playful but keeps complaining of this pain in her lower head and on the sides of her throat. She has no "cold" symptoms. He (Dr.) suggested it may just be the "flu." I am just so worried about her. ALl suggestions and advice will be appreciated. Thank you!

  • Heart trouble?

For the past two months, I have been experiencing what feels like something is squeezing my heart for a few seconds, then the feeling stops but returns intermittently at different times throughout the day. However, some days are worse than others while there are days when this weird feeling is absent.

I am in my mid 30's, in good health with a weight of 115 lbs and a height of 5'4." There isn't any pain or tingling in my arms either so I am ruling out heart attack.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? I am guessing it is a result of stress but should I be overly concerned?

  • Is it bad for a vehicle to drive at a high speed daily?

I commute to work each day via a highway on which the speed limit is 65 mph but most travel at a speed of at least 75-80 mph. Is traveling at this high speed for a period of about 33 miles one way bad for my vehicle (which is a gas guzzler since it is an SUV). Also, does a vehicle burn more gas travelling at a higher speed? Explain why. Thank you in advance!

  • Strep throat?

I saw my doctor last week and was diagnosed with strep throat, something I seem to be vulnerable to getting eadh year. I have been taking an anti-biotic (Cefdinir) and it does not seem to be a remedy. Since this is my third consecutive year of having this nasty bug, do you think I am just gaining a tolerance for it and need a stronger anti-biotic or could it be something worse than strep? I didn't have any lab work done and fear that it may be something worse? It is quite painful to swallow and even forbids me to sleep. It feels as if I have something stuck in my throat and hurts so much even when I yawn or even turn a certin way.
