I'm a 57 year old Crone who has experienced life to the fullest and enjoyed it. I have studied many religious paths, taken the positives and rejected the negatives. Want to preach to me? I have spent many years before making my educated, informed decision to not follow Jesus or organized religion. When you have studied and know the Bible (plus many other religions), as well or better than me, then maybe we could have an intelligent discussion. Until then, keep your biblical quotes to yourself. I am an Eclectic Philosophical Pagan.

  • Can I sue for damages and money?

My bf and I signed a contract to buy a place, Both of us signed the contracts and placed both names on the bills. Everything seemed wonderful. Two weeks after we moved in, I got up one morning to find he had flown the coop. NO reason, no explanation....NOTHING. He was just gone. I called hospitals, police and his family. No one knew anything. The next week I received a notice from the mortgage company. He had requested his name be removed from the contracts and they wanted me to sign it. I did not sign.

We are both on disability. The bills are $100 over what I receive a month.

What can I do? I have no idea where he is or why he left. What legal recourse can I take? I cannot afford a lawyer.

  • Both of my cats, one recently spayed, have mucus in their stool. I am on a limited income. Any suggestions?

They both act normally, with loads of energy, eating properly and don't act like they are ill. But, the mucusy or watery stools, which are light in color, continue. I have tried changing foods to a better quality. Also, I just moved, which may have contributed to upsetting them. Sam is almost 10 years old and Java is one and a half years old.

  • Is there a format for working on your "dark" side?

A friend wants me to help her understand her dark side, improve what needs to be improved and learn to accept herself for who she is. I know there are instructions on helping her do this (I've done it myself and was greatly helped), but can't find anything on the web.

If you have any information that you might think is helpful or suggestions, please let me know.

    Thank you in advance.

[And no she doesn't want to "know" Jesus or be born again. She's already gone that route and is now a Pagan....thanks, but no proselytizing.]

  • How did you come by your present religion or belief system?

Was it chosen for you by parents or society? Be totally honest. I choose mine through many years of study and research. My sisters and brother range from Jehovah's Witness to Born Again Christian. I have researched many, studied the Christian Bible and many other holy books.

I have settled on Eclectic Paganism because it does not condemn knowledge or try to fill me with guilt. Also, it does have a recognizable history besides the myths. Many other religions are based on stories and myths alone.

  • How much is your pet worth?

"Most state laws consider animals — even beloved pets — to be only personal property. That means that even for the loss of a faithful family companion, a successful civil lawsuit would not likely produce much reward."

This mornings article on the lose of pets, through the fault of pet food companies, infuriated me.

My cat is worth more to me than ALL of the gold, silver, platinum, and money in the world. He is not just "property." I'm sure that many who lost their beloved pets felt the same about them.

People used to be considered property. But that has fortunately changed. Pets are not property, they are companions to many people.

I know that many people don't think much about the animals we call pets, but just how much is your "pet" worth?

My cat is irreplacable, therefore worth billions to me.

  • Marilyn Manson?

Does anyone else like Marilyn Manson for his revolutionary, non-crowd-pleasing manner?

Even though I am close to 55 I find Marilyn Manson's music and themes refreshing. At least he doesn't follow every other musicians style like a sheep.

What do you or don't you like about him and his band?

  • Respect, Why don't people give it anymore?

Why is it so hard for people to understand and work toward what this little word means?

I try to give others respect and abide by their wishes, yet get very little in return. Please explain it to me.

  • Race Nascar?

Do you think Kevin Harvick should be thrashed for stealing the Daytona 500 from Mark Martin?

I don't normally watch racing, but watched the last few minutes of the race today, since my husband was watching.

It looked like Mark Martin was finally going to win the Daytona 500.

Then Harvick crept up and took advantage of Martin. Martin had not kept speeding up because he saw the accident behind him and thought the officials were going to call a caution.

As far as I'm concerned Harvick stole the race from Martin.

    Any other's agree with me?

  • Cats: A woman who was concerned with her cat scratching...?

Hi, just wanted to help out the woman asking about preventing her cat from kneading on her quilt. I completely forgot about the little tips veterinarians and pet catalogs sell for cats claws.

You clip the cats claws, be careful of the "quick" or the cat will bleed, then place the tips on the cat's claws. This will help to prevent damage to your belongings, without causing the cat any undue stress. He will still be able to knead, scratch, etc., without harm.

  • If God is all-knowing, why did he make Satan, Adam and Eve, knowing they would fail?

This is a question I have asked time and again and have never received acceptable answers. Also, I do not believe faith is a factor in answered prayers. I used to have MEGA faith and never was answered, even though people I loved were dying and had handicaps. Also, if the Bible is the Word of God, why are there so many contradictions. I have studied several translations thoroughly, for more than 35 years, and can no longer believe in it. I can no longer believe in the Christian God or in their religions, for there is so much hypocrisy and hatred spewing out of these religious people.

I now accept people for who they are, not what they do in the bedroom or what their skin color is, or what creed they follow. I am a more loving person being a "Pagan heathen" than when I was a Christian. The truth certainly did set me free.
