I am a college freshman girl living in Minnesota. I've grown up in the military, but I've spent the last eleven years of my life in Texas. I have family close to my college (aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends) but I feel so alone. You could characterize my school as a suitcase college, so a majority of my "friends" go home every weekend, leaving me by myself in the dorms. Why I put friends in quotation marks is a totally different story. Anyways, when I try to talk to them about how I am homesick and how I would just love some company for once, they just brush it off and change the subject. I'm getting really tired of my friends abandoning me and/or reducing my feelings and attempts to reach out to them. I'm considering transferring to a college closer to home because I'm getting to be THAT homesick. Whenever I mention that I might be leaving, none of my "friends" ever try to change my mind or try to comfort me, which I understand isn't their job, but it's nice to know someone cares... This homesickness is getting to the point where it's affecting my health. I have recently developed a sleep disorder because I spend my nights crying and missing Texas and the way my life used to be. On top of that, I'm constantly eating my emotions and spending an excessive amount of time on Hulu and Netflix to distract me from my sadness. As a result of the lack of sleep and constant eating, I've become lazy and sluggish. I need to get better.

The only thing keeping me from transferring are my two jobs as a photographer. If I didn't have those jobs, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. Can someone please help me overcome my homesickness? I do want to stay here, even if it means finding new friends.

I just purchased a Canon Rebel T3i two weeks ago and I keep getting the message mentioned above when I'm trying to film things. It pops up about three seconds into recording. I've already purchased a Class Ten memory card and it's 4GB, but that hasn't made a difference. I've only been able to successfully shoot a movie twice out of around thirty tries.

I'm trying to restore a 1937 Ford Coupe with my dad and I'd like to get certain moments on camera.. What is a quick fix to my problem? Thank you for your help! :)

I've never kissed anyone before, I'm only fifteen and I'm NOT complaining about it. In fact, I'd like to keep my kissing-virginity for a little while longer. Part of it is because I like the reaction people have when they hear I've never kissed anyone, it makes me feel confident. :)

But my question is, in the long run, does it really matter who you have your first kiss with? Is it one of those things that just happens and you don't think much of it in the future? Or is it more of a big deal?

I'm a fifteen year old girl. I'm average weight with blonde hair and blue eyes. I need an awesomely awesome halloween costume.. my marching band is marching the night before halloween and we get to march in costumes. I play flute by the way. We also have a competition for the best costumes.

I've been a shadow for halloween for the past five years. i dont want to be it again. I don't like buying cheapo costumes from Amazon or walmart or anything like that either. I can sew it myself. So please, any ideas?

On July 31, I started dating this guy I liked. Let's call him James. Before he asked me out, I had a crush on him, and my best friend. Let's call my best friend Elliott. So before July 31, I liked both Elliott and James.

I'm on a trip right now, so I'm unable to see either of them.

I've said in the past that "No matter how much I like James, I'll always love Elliott."

So now that I'm dating James, I'm having second thoughts. Elliott and James and I are all best friends. Elliott likes me too, but doesn't want to hurt James by dating me. I do like James, but I love Elliott. But I don't want to hurt James by breaking up with him..... he's going through a lot. He's caught his dad doing bad things, his parents are divorced, and his grandfather is dying. James and I have saved our first kisses for each other..but now I want to have my first kiss with Elliott. The other thing is that James and I have already told each other that we love one another...but for me, those feelings have changed. And I know I'll probably start liking James more once I see him...but there's no guarentee. Should I break up with James and go out with Elliott? Or should I break up with James and just stay single so it doesn't look like I'm leaving him for someone else? I'm just so confused and none of my friends are helping me. By the way, I'm fifteen, James is fifteen, and Elliott is sixteen.

Basically, do you think that Nadya Suleman had another eight kids just so that she could get publicity and money for being a single mom of fourteen kids? I heard that each of her kids are getting paid for being on a reality show. So do you think she's using her publicity to get more money?

I'm 5'4" and 135 pounds. I'd like to loose fifteen pounds. My self condifdence is really low and I'm very concious about myself. I'd specifically like to get rid of my love handles......

What's the fastest and easiest way to loose a lot of weight fast?

I just got my Canon XS yesterday and I'm really in love with it.

But I have a few questions:

When I take pictures with flash set in the A-dep mode, the camera is fast. But when I take pictures in the A-dep mode without the flash, it closes the lense and then opens it about three seconds later. It takes really long to take the picture without flash and it's blurry. When I set it in Manual mode, the picture doesn't have a flash, but it comes out really really dark. What should I do?

Also, I really enjoy taking light photography pictures. In order to do that, I have to set the shutter speed to about ten seconds. How do I do that on a Canon XS?

So I've got this friend and his name is Jonathan.

Back in sixth grade, we used to like each other.

When he stopped liking me, I was really desperate for him to like me again.

I don't tell her who I have a crush on, I don't talk to her about liking guys period. If I talk to her about guys, it's about my best friends, because they are all guys.

The only thing we really talk about is like periods and stuff like that.

But I just feel awkward when I talk to her about cute guys and who I like. Do you think it has to do something with the fact that she won't let me get a boyfriend until I'm 16? I'm 14 btw.

In the house, it me, my mom, my brother, and my dad. But that wouldn't have anything to do with it, right?

I'm fourteen and a straight A student. I've had a few mistakes in my past, but nothing really major. My best friend Hunter wants to go to the movies with me, but I know my parents won't let me go. They think I'm going to be making out with him or something.

I'm in high school, and this is not a date. It's just a day to hang out with my friend. How can I make my parents realize that I'm not going to be doing anything bad with him??

Okay. So my first iPod was a 2nd generation nano, 2GB. I put one of my favorite soundtracks on it while I still used it. Now I've got an iPod touch and I'd like to put that same CD on my touch. The only problem is that I lost the CD, and you can't buy it off of iTunes. Also, I imported the CD on our older computer, which crashed. Is there a way to import the songs from my nano, to my touch? Or possibly from my nano, to the library, to the touch? Basically, I just need to know how I can get this CD in my library again. Thanks for the help!
