How does the US minimalise the damage of a lost war?
There are those who still believed the US "achieved all its aims" in Vietnam. Clearly "regime change" has occurred in Iraq but the war has been lost and the US will leave defeated. How can this defeat be best (re)presented?
3 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoHas George W started drinking again? What will the consequences be?
The man is an acknowledged "recovering alcoholic" but i read today that rumors persist in the US and UK at senior level that Bush has resumed drinking. (Andrew Stephen in New Statesman)

Please only reply if you have a serious comment. This is not a party political thing.
13 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIf the US were invaded by the Chinese would you attack them and anyone who collaborated with them?
What if they were torturing and raping Americans?
What if they were using illegal weapons?
I would. Now you know how the Iraqis feel. The non-Iraqi combatants could be compared with Canadians and Brits who travelled to the US to help in the fight against China. The US is an occupation force and fighting against it is legal under international law (the UN constitution), which the US wrote.
The US will leave as it did Vietnam: defeated and shamed.

10 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoShall I go to a football match or appear on a TV quiz?
I bought my nephew a season ticket in order to convert him into a Watford fan (he liked Man U) but this Saturday i've been invited to take part in a new quiz show, 1 vs 100. Should I let my 11 y.o. nephew down (Watford v Aston Villa) or blow off the (small) possibility of winning a lot of money?
