I just moved to LA to work in the film industry and am having a hard time finding a place to live with normal people and in my price range. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Californication” - I’m looking for something with a similar feel

(possibly with a female vocal) that could support a video sequence with a person daydreaming and gazing out of a bus window that suggests contemplating their past and a change. (I like the feel and sparseness of the song’s intro and verses, but I’m not crazy about the chorus.)

Dido’s “White Flag” – I’m looking for something similar to this song in tempo and feel by a female independent artist. It needs to be a similar tempo, not pop (more alternative) and not too familiar.

The Mama’s and The Papa’s “California Dreaming” – I need an instrumental version of this song for a club scene.

Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited” - I like this a lot and need something similar (rock-orchestral, slow and thematic) for dramatic, closing credits.

I have been searching youtube but I figured I could post on here as well...my normal genre is folk and singer/songwriter so i don't really have any songs in my iTunes that would fit the bill for this assignment. Thanks!

What is the present value of $1,825 per year, at a discount rate of 9 percent, if the first payment is received 4 years from now and the last payment is received 22 years from now?

I've tried entering -1825 for the PMT, 19 for N and 9 for I/Y, then take the outcome of that for the FV. Put 3 as the new N, I/Y still 9 and I have yet to come up with the correct answer! What am I doing wrong??

I have basic cable on an on campus apartment and I am trying to figure out the cheapest way I can get a DVR. I don't want a Tivo because then I have a monthly fee. But it seems like all the DVR's I find online you have to have Direct TV or comcast or some service like that. Is there any DVR I can get that I can just plug into my tv and cable and have it record a show and just be done with it? Pleeeease??

Alright, so I am a college student living in an on campus apartment, it included internet and cable. I just brought a tv, plugged the chord into it, good to go. I now realized I will be interning different hours and will be missing all of my favorite tv shows! (sad day) so I was thinking about getting a DVR or Tivo (not sure of the different between the two) Is that something that I could even do seeing as I don't really pay for my cable but is included in the semester fee I pay. If I were to purchase a box, first of all, about how much would it set me back? Then secondly, it there a monthly fee or something? I really am highly doubting this could work but, a girl can dream, right?

My phone has been working ok until a couple days ago it turns off randomly then said I had an irregular battery and wouldn't turn on. It finally turns on and now won't work because it says I need to insert my sim card...which is already in there and has been the whole time. I would take it out and put it back in but still nothing. Is there anything I can do that might make it recognize the sim card or is my phone completely unusable now?

i had photoscape on my HP that I loved and used all the time but I just got a mac and it doesn't work for mac :( I downloaded gimp but that seems to complicated for me with more features than I need. I also tried Picassa but that doesn't seem like it has half the features of photoscape and I like that even less I think. Is there anything out there like photoscape that I could use on my mac?

my friends and I really want to just make a big bonfire and sit around and have fun, and maybe even just sleep in my car under the stars for the night. is there any place around nashville where this is possible. It wasn't If We Are The Body or i don't think anything by Casting Crowns or Third Day or anyone i thought I knew. But it accused us about not going into the world while we have the love, to share it.
