  • G.I. Joe is dead, do you agree?

Paramount Pictures is beginning production of a new movie starring G.I.J.O.E., an acronym for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, rather than an American hero. Seems they want to be politically correct in other ways as well. Instead of portraying the global menace as a radical Islamist, the head of the global threat, the evil Cobra army, is a Scotsman!

That's as bad as when studio heads changed Tom Clancy's bad guy IslamoFascists to skinheads to appease their global audience.

  • Adobe8.0 affecting my pictures?

Since downloading Adobe 8.0, it has become the default to my pictures. They no longer open automatically because of the Adobe 8.0 default. I have to go the extra step to tell each photo what to open with.

  • Trouble downloading pdf files on Yahoo???

I have Adobe Reader 8.0, and have no trouble downloading to my AOL account. However, when I attempt to download a pdf file on my Yahoo account, it comes back with "Adobe Reader could not open [file name/pdf] because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an eMail attachment and wasn't correctly decoded."

I do not get the error message with AOL and the file downloads fine with AOL.

HELP! I do not want to keep my AOL acct but need to resolve this as well as the continuing problem downloading Excel files around 800 kb and above with Yahoo.

    Thanks!

  • Movie language, too many expletives spoil the plot?

It seems as if all the new 'good' movies start off using the 'F' word and go downhill from there. We started watching 'The 40 -Yr Old Virgin' last night (we knew in advance that it was a bit racy, which is fine), and while we understand the use of expletives in context, it seems that every other word in many movies is the 'F' word. You expect some sex and some racy scenes and occasional expletives but, come on, not every other word. It is like potty humor for a 13 year old and adds nothing to the plot. If we wanted to listen to a bunch of 13 year olds play grown-up, by seeing how many times they could use the 'F' word, we could have just gone to the Mall!

We turned it off after 10 minutes and sent it back to Netflix.

  • Downloading large Excel files on Yahoo, problem!?

Why do all of the large Excel files appear with no content on Yahoo when I either try to open or download? I have to forward the eMail and attached files to another eMail account (non Yahoo) in order to view or download them. Any ideas?
