Need a device that is wifi ready installed that I can take traveling that I can pay bills online.My daughter says smart phones are not reliable in this regard.I am in my 60's so help me out there.The device has to be inexpensive not require dragging along any extra devices.

We live in a village , we are seriously thinking of moving to the country and being more self sufficient.There are pros and cons to both.If and when the world goes down the toilet and it is every person for themselves, would it be smarter to stay put or move.I figure people will rob and go nuts in the populated areas first then move out to the rural areas.The rural areas offer no protection, unless you are awake 24/7 with a gun.The history channel and national geographic channel have segments on this so it is pretty mind bungling.What would be best stay put or move?
