When should I take the Diflucan during my course of antibiotics?

I was prescribed an antibiotic to take for 14 days, and also given 2 diflucan pills to combat the yeast infection that usually accompanies treatment with antibiotics...I forgot to ask which days should I take the diflucan.

Also, I was wondering why I was prescribed antibiotics in the first place...my ears are extremely clogged (not with wax, but with fluid from congestion) and it is causing me to have pretty serious dizzy spells...that along with the fact that I can't hear anything! They are not infected at this point, but my ear drums are "bulging" with fluid (eww.) I always thought that antibiotics were only used to treat bacterial infections...so what's the buzz?

ps...I know I should've asked these questions while I was there, but I get uptight about going to the doctor and I never think of things to ask until after I leave...

I failed emissions yesterday because there wasn't a reading from the oxygen sensor(s) and I need to know how many of these things I'm going to have to replace...ugh. As a side note, the van runs fine...I have no issues with it slipping, stuttering, or stalling out, nor have I noticed it guzzling gas...

Any and all help regarding this is much appreciated :)
