When should I take the Diflucan during my course of antibiotics?

When should I take the Diflucan during my course of antibiotics?

I was prescribed an antibiotic to take for 14 days, and also given 2 diflucan pills to combat the yeast infection that usually accompanies treatment with antibiotics...I forgot to ask which days should I take the diflucan.

Also, I was wondering why I was prescribed antibiotics in the first place...my ears are extremely clogged (not with wax, but with fluid from congestion) and it is causing me to have pretty serious dizzy spells...that along with the fact that I can't hear anything! They are not infected at this point, but my ear drums are "bulging" with fluid (eww.) I always thought that antibiotics were only used to treat bacterial infections...so what's the buzz?

ps...I know I should've asked these questions while I was there, but I get uptight about going to the doctor and I never think of things to ask until after I leave...

Thanks in advance! xoxox

There is no need to wait to see if you develop a yeast infection or not. It's much easier to prevent it than cure it. You'll want to take the 1st dose about 3 days after you start the antibiotics, and the second dose when you take the last antibiotic dose.

Well, why not? Just take care that you bath in your third day or later because the second day is actually the most important day due to the fact that this is the day the ovum is released and obviously if you bath in the first day your period may completely stop for the whole month or come again the following days or weeks and this is because the blood pressure is not as strong and is easily stopped. By experience I would tell you that the best day to bath is the third because the blood pressure is still somewhat strong and the ovum has already been released.

the diflucan was probably prescribed as a precautionary measure u should not take it unless u c sign of a yeast infection its just used as a tool because antibiotics hav side effects like all drugs and can cause yeast infections
