  • How long after weening did you feel full?

For a year I was a great dairy. My daughter is now over a year, and I was making very little milk so we have stopped nursing completely this week. We did it gradually, with the past two days no nursing at all. I am still feeling full, not exactly uncomfortable, but not comfortable either. Everything I have read just says a few days or a while. I would like a more precise answer if possible.

  • Water heater is sometimes cold?

When we haven't used our water heater much during the day, we have issues getting water that is more than lukewarm. If we run the dishwasher we have plenty of hot water. It is as if the hot water heater won't kick in to reheat the water until the tank empties. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

  • Tingling in my feet my when standing?

I am 33.4 weeks pregnant. Last week baby dropped and now when I stand in one place I feel itchy tingling in my feet. It doesn't affect me when I walk. I have had no noticeable swelling and have had minimal weight gain, no gestational diabetes. The only things I can find is sciatica (but its not a shooting down my legs) or tarsal tunnel (but I can't imagine how I would develop it from the baby dropping). I have a doctor's appointment in two days, but am curious as to what other ideas my fellow pregnant ladies may have.

  • Trying to gain weight in third trimester?

I have not been able to gain more than five pounds this entire pregnancy. I am now at 30 weeks and really need to up the pounds. I am now eating protein bars as snacks, eating meals that are full of fruits, veggies, protein and carbs. When do I say screw it and start eating the junk food that I know will help pack on some pounds?

  • Ovarian Cysts and getting pregnant?

I have had an ovarian cyst burst about six years ago. I was on a low dose birth control at the time. I am now on a much stronger one and haven't had a cyst burst since. My husband and I are hoping to start a family soon. Having had a cyst in the past, is there a possibility I may have trouble conceiving?

  • What do you suggest for hairball control?

Carter is a medium length, we brush him daily, and still throws up a hairball every night. Not something that is fun to come down to in the morning. We have tried vaseline and oil for home remedies. Still on hairball clean up first thing in my day. Until we can get to the vet, does anyone have something they would suggest? We would be fine with over the counter stuff, not just home remedies.

  • Has anybody had this happen to them?

My kitten went into the vet today for her second round of kitten shots. Just seconds after the shot she started to shake and vomit and have diarrhea. The vet is keeping her overnight for observation, but thinks it may have been stress from the car ride and shot that is causing the problem. I am really worried, that little girl has become a major part of the household in such a short time.

  • Do you believe an owner can understand their dog?

From a previous question, I do agree that many people do not read their dogs. But for those of us who work hard to train and to learn their mannerisms, do you think it is possible for us to understand them properly? I know it is impossible to predict their every thought, but to know how they would react in most situation?

  • Ants and pet food, any advice?

We are having an ant invasion and they love the pet food. The food isn't sitting out for long, and bam! the ants come marching in. We don't leave food out all the time, have ant traps everywhere, tried blocking where they come in, nothing is working. I have even tried putting the food bowl in a larger bowl of water, but the industrious little buggers just go swimming. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I would like to make certain websites password accessible only, is this possible?

I have employees that tend to go to websites that I don't want them on when I am out of the store. Is it possible to still let them go on to a site if I put in a password, I want them to be able to go on the sites during their break. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Can a hibiscus change color?

I have a double hibiscus that I purchased earlier this summer, it's very healthy (thank goodness, last one wasn't). The first batch of flowers I got from it were a bright red, but this past week I have had a new batch of flowers from it and they are peach (ironically the color I prefer). Can the food you feed a hibiscus change the color of the flowers produced? Or was it some other odd external factor? I keep it indoors, if that may make a difference. Nothing that I have done has changed, I still feed it the same way, same position, etc.

  • What kind of flower could this be?

I recently moved to Indiana and in the middle of August, I saw a kind of flower that I have never seen before. I wish I had gotten a picture, but they lasted for only a week, so I will do my best to describe them. They are a frilly type of flower like an iris (obviously the wrong time of the year for that) and is a pale pink. It's on the end of a long stalk, probably 18-24 inches, and no discernible leaves when driving by (I didn't get a look at them any closer than that). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • For those of you who make your own dog food...?

I have noticed in many of people's home made dog food recipes, chicken is the number one ingredient. My problem is my dog can't handle ANY poultry. Even just one bite and she has vomiting and diarrhea, have any of your come up against this problem?

  • Small bump?

I know the obvious answer to my question is going to the vet, and we will be soon. My cat has a small bump behind his ear, it's a little smaller than the size of a pea. I know the bumps on my dogs, and how to interpret them, but my cat is a little more of a mystery to me. He has had it for a while, six months or more, and not acting sick or anything (boy is he hyper as every). I'm just wondering if I should be worried. He is not showing any signs of hearing loss either.

  • How did you get your first dog?

Or if you were born into a dog family, when did you get your own dog? Sad to say, for my eleventh birthday I wanted a dog more than anything, so my parents heard a litany of "I want a dog", all summer. My mom went to the humane society, just to see how things worked....and fell for a pair of floppy ears and brown eyes. She is still with me over thirteen years later, and now joined by a corgi at Christmas. Some of the best gifts I have ever had.

  • What is your opinion on dogs eating grass?

Do you think dogs eat grass to throw up, or to sooth their stomachs? My old dog when she is feeling ill, goes out and grazes for a while, then most often comes in and is fine. The puppy doesn't eat grass at all. Just curious to see what you other people think about this.

  • What is the name of a good pictorial history of costume book?

I remember reading a very large book in high school that had a great pictorial history of costume, I don't remember what it is called but would love to get a copy of it. It ranges from ancient times to the early twentieth century, and had to have been like 300-400 pages, in hardcover format. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I keep kids from loitering in my store?

I have recently opened up a store, and there have been two groups of kids, young teens mostly, that come in and don't buy anything, mess up my store and stand in the entrance by the cash register talking with foul language. I am thinking of putting up a no loitering sign, but I don't want to offend the community and want to encourage all people to come in. They are very disruptive and intimidating, even to me (being a woman). How can I deal with them but not get a bad reputation?
