How do i let my best friend's wife know that her husband is cheating on her?
I'm friends with both the husband and the wife. The affair has been going on for almost a year, even while the wife was pregnant with their second child. I kept it a secret hoping he'd break it off but its gotten more serious over time. He lies to her constantly about where he is and putting in overtime. I talked to him about not wanting to be caught in the middle, covering up for him and he's gradually eased me off into the sidelines so I won't know where he's been. I'd walk away but I feel really bad for the wife. My friend wants to have another child with his wife so he can have more time for the other woman. He surrounds his wife with people who know about the affair but are also good friends with the other woman because the woman is someone higher up where he works. It just feels so wrong to let this continue without warning the wife. He buys the other woman's story about not expecting anything from him but he's spending more and more time with her than ever. Outwardly, he's a great husband and father but what he's subjecting his wife to seems so wrong I feel I have to let her know somehow...

6 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoare "moderate Christians" intimidated into silence by "hardcore Christians"?
Pardon the ambiguity...couldn't think of a better term to differentiate between the two...
Do moderate Christians worry about being attacked if they don't agree with the more zealous Xtians? I'm looking for a plausible explanation for why the perception of being a "Christian" has undergone such a radical shift in a relatively short amount of time. When did hardcore Christianity become the norm (at least it seems that way to me on Y!A anyway...)?
Please try to avoid politics or involving Islam in your answer.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWill you break this tie (see details)?
I want to know how Y!A votes on this one.
Vote your conscience.

6 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCan you show me something truly original?
There are movie remakes of old TV shows, cover songs, products that are marketed under a new name but don't offer substantial improvements, rehashed styles and tired trends....
My question to the great collective hive mind...seen anything new lately?
And no, you can't say "My baby."
PS- I always pick a best answer.
9 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities1 decade agoWhat have you learned today on Y!A?
Admit it, there's stuff here you may never have thought to look into or research on your own, stuff you never realized about people, places, etc...
Me? I knew what "teabagging" was but never realized it's been used so often on TV and movies til I looked it up on wikipedia.

8 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 decade agoTo Filipinos: what are the misconceptions about the Philippines that you've seen posted on Y!A?
I'm Filipino and it annoys me when I read something clearly false posted by someone who has limited experience or knowledge about the Philippines. It annoys me even more when the asker doesn't have contact info where I can at least msg them and set them straight.
Examples:
Some girl in Texas thinks the Americans liberated the Philippines from Spain then gave it back to Spain after WWII. (Arghhhhhhhh...)
Some girl lumped Pinoys with all other Asians and generalized that Filipino men are domineering towards all women. (How's we end up with 2 female presidents then?)
I don't get annoyed when some yahoo says something completely stupid like all Pinoys are whores. Everyone can tell they're just being dumb. I'm more annoyed by people who claim to know the Philippines but end up spreading stupid misconceptions that get passed on.
So I'm looking for other examples on Y!A of someone getting the story wrong about Pinoys. I'll keep extending this question so I we can compile a list.
Salamat

rant away...
best rant with examples of questions that could be answered by common sense instead of stock knowledge or research gets the ten.

9 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoIs "homework help" really helping?
I think in some cases, helping someone figure out literature or another language is helping but for really simple questions that look like a kid's too lazy to do the work, are we really helping them by answering?
Completely undecided here....
4 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoWhat would you have done?
I'm watching an advanced screening of a movie at a cinema. The invite says no cameras allowed and cell phones must be set to vibrate or switched off. The girl besides me starts taking a video of the movie on her phone. The light from the phone is too bright and distracts me so I remind her of the rule about not bringing cameras in. She looks annoyed but stops, then starts texting people (plural) and making business calls. Yes, the light from her gadgets is still distracting me. I tell her politely that she's keeping me from enjoying the movie and she asks "what's your problem?" So......"snap."
I grab 2 cell phones, a laptop, an iPod from my backpack, switch them "on" and jam it up to her face (didn't touch her) then I said "Can you see the movie now !@#$%^&*()?" in a voice loud enough for the whole audience to hear.
Then it got really ugly.
I look back at it and laugh but I'd like to know what you guys would have done in my place.
The usher kicked her out btw.
11 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDo you really mean "everyone's opionion should be respected"? (read the rest)?
or do you really mean "everyone's RIGHT to have an opinion should be respected"? It's not the same t thing. I will acknowledge that any yahoo can form an opinion and is entitled to it but is it incumbent on us to be polite when we clearly don't share those opinions?
Your opinions?
21 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhat's the best way to teach Criella a lesson?
Just for fun...
Lock her up in a room with white supremacists who hate her for calling herself "white" when she's clearly not?
Lock her up in a room with black folk whom SHE called "ugly"?
Lock her up with Filipinos who are embarrased at her behaviour?
Be creative. Details are good. No racial remarks please.
Completely pointless but I could use a good laugh right now...
This is just to vent some of the resentment this idiot has caused...
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhat does the following (see details) suggest?
Statistics gathered from US federal prisons in 1997 show that 75% of inmates are Christians, which corresponds to the percentage of Christians in the US population. Atheists make up 10% of the US population but only 0.2% of inmates in federal prisons. Interesting, eh?
Are atheists smarter than Christians and are therefore less likely to get caught?
Do Christians somehow convince themselves that they can commit crime and still achieve salvation as long as they repent and accept Jesus as their saviour?
Any other thoughts? I'm interested in what areas of inquiry can be explored from conclusions based on these statistics.
Please...I'm familiar with arguments from both sides of the fence so don't repeat the same tedious arguments from other questions.
I classified this under Philosophy instead of Religion and Spirituality on purpose, btw...
8 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhich bars in the Philippines have the best rock bands?
I'm writing an article on the Pinoy band scene for a magazine. I already know about Mayric's, 6underground and SaGuijo's and some other places. Just wondering if I missed anything. Please include a short description of what I can expect if I go to the places you recommend. Let's stick to QC, Makati, Manila and close by to the South...
