My Husband left me for his Secretary?
My husband and I have been together for 10 years...7 of which we've been married.. We what I thought was a great relationship .We have two beautiful children together and decided early on that I would stay at home to take care of them.
On Cinco De Mayo my husband called me from the bar and said that he was leaving me...no explination othere than he wasn't happy.
I tried to talk him into trying counceling or anything to make our Marriage work...I would have done anything to keep him in my life. He's the only Man that i've ever loved and I couldn't imagine living without him in my life. He didn't want to try...just said that it was over.
My heart was broken but I did my best to hold it together for the kids and keep my sanity even though i wanted to curl up in a ball and die.
A few days later I find out that my husband has been having an affair with a co-worker (who left her husband on the same day) whom I thought of as a friend...not a great friend but someone that we hung out with occasionally
I ended up confronting them at their office and finally he admitted that yes, this had been going on but he said that she wasn't the reason that he left me (yeah, right)
I found out last week that they are looking at houses together.
A week later he cleaned out our joint bank account, leaving me no money to pay bills. I'm trying to find a job but we live in a depressed are and jobs, especially any that pay decent wages, are hard to come by and since I've been home for the past 8 years I have little work experience.
My husband keeps blaming the whole thing on me...I'm lazy and less important than he is..I don't wear makeup everyday and don't always have dinner on the table when he comes home from work...and on and on....
I know that i was a good wife and am an excellent Mother but hearing him say those things still hurts...
And so, my question is...how do you start over at rebuilding a new life without the Man that you thought that you'd be with forever and how can I help my children through this horrible transition without damaging them?

1 AnswerDogs1 decade agoMy dog is afraid of the CLICKER!?
I've heard such wonderful things about clicker training that I thought that we'd give it a try with our 7 year old, 95lb Chocolate Lab...The first time that I clicked at him he ran and hid under the dining room table and now he won't come out when I call him...any ideas on how to fix this???
8 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHavanese or King Charles Cavalier?
I've narrowed down my puppy search to these two breeds. I love the temperment and look of both breeds but have no actual experience with either.
I'm a stay at home Mom and so I have lots of time to devote to care and training of a puppy. We have a large lab, three kids and two indoor cats and so I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on which would be the better choice for my family.
Thanks
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoDeciding on a breed...?
I have a 7 year old chocolate lab who's about 95lbs and a big silly mush. He's pretty gentle and enjoys playing with other dogs.
My kids would like to add a second dog to the family and they (my daughter especially) have their hearts set on a small breed like a yorkie or chihuahua so that it can go "everywhere" with us.
I've never had a small and large breed dog at the same time and so I wonder if they would be compatible as housemates?
If you have experience in this area I'd love some feedback and also ideas on breeds that get along well with kids and cats (we have 3 kids/2 cats). Thanks!

8 AnswersRodents1 decade agoHow do you introduce 2 Leopard Gecko's?
I have a (2 year old)male and a (2 year old)female Leo housed together in a 40 gallon breeder tank. They have always gotten along fine but I've heard that it's better to have more than one female if you keep male/female together and so I brought another (2 year old) female home a few weeks ago.
I've kept them seperate for the past few weeks but tried to introduce them yesterday by placing the new female into the enclosure with my established pair.
They were fine for a few minutes and then both females started lashing their tails back and forth and the new female attacked my other female.
I immediately seperated them and now I'm not sure what to do. Is there any way that they'll get along?
Should I keep trying or give up and keep them in seperate tanks? If there is a way to introduce them can someone please explain it to me. Thanks =)
2 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoWhat kind of personality does your Ragdoll have ?
I have a male blue mitted Ragdoll that will be a year old on Tuesday. He is 16 lbs and a total sweetie. He's floppy and very laid back but talks ALOT! I've talked to some other Ragdoll owners and it seems like Ragdolls have degrees of vocalization. Some are really quiet while others, like mine, are much more vocal. Any one have a Ragdoll and what kind of personality does your Raggie have?
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoWhy does my cat like to eat salad?
I feed my Ragdoll "Chicken Soup For the Cat Lovers Soul" dry cat food and both Merrick and Wellness grain free wet cat food but every morning when I'm preparing my Russian Tortoises' salad my cat begs until I give him a few lettuce leaves. Does anyone know why a cat (obligate carnivore) would want leafy greens?
He does have fresh oat, wheat and barley grass available at all times.

4 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoInduction stories?
I was induced with my second child. It was so much different than my first labor(which was natural)
I labored for 34 hours during my first labor without any medication and though it was long and tiring the pain was manageable.I gave birth to a healthy 8lb 8oz baby girl :)
With my second child I was three weeks late and the doctor talked me into trying an induction. My husband and I drove to the hospital at 6am and I was set up on IV pitosin.
I did okay managing the pain for the first 6 hours but the contractions were SO sharp. There were no gradually building Waves just OUCH!! I finally requested an epidural which I had sworn that I wouldn't use. My 8lb 1oz son was born 1 hour later.
I would never opt. for an induction again...
What was your experience like??

4 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhat is the best pet for 8 year old?
My daughter is 8 years old and would like a pet of her own to take care of. She's very responsible and helps with the family pets now. We have a russian tortoise, 2 cats, a dog and a rabbit. I'm looking for a begginer pet, something that's friendly and fairly easy to care for.
She likes fuzzy and scaled animals.
