This post (http://i.imgur.com/UBPdj5f.jpg) made me think of my old days playing ball. My question is did you all really determined the pitch before you swung your bat? I studied the release and motion of the pitcher and I could tell the spin is different so I know a breaking ball is coming. Is it just me or do most of you actually read how the seams spin and swung accordingly?

Let's say for the pass 2 decade, basically after the 1994 strike. I only say this because rules and mind sets regarding baseball has shifted quite a bit. You may suggest a few or just pick one for pitching and hitting.

My picks would be Mariano's post season saves and Ichiro's 262 hits in a single season.

Rules have changed a bit. Who knows, maybe in another few years teams will use a 6 man rotation and 20 win seasons will become impossible.

There's been a Robin nest on my balcony for the last 3 weeks or so. Mama bird started building it a month ago and she would return everyday, I know because I can see and hear her. Since May 7th, she stopped visiting (I keep a close eye), no returns, not even if its raining. The pass few day's weather. (Hi 86,Lo 48),(Hi 77, Lo 58), (Hi 68, Lo49), (Hi 82, Lo 43). Today another thunderstorm occurred and my roommate pulled the nest in and put it under a heat lamp. I'm just wondering if it's too late.

However, my South African friend of Asian heritage says on the other hand he basically brought inequality to other races.
