How do u address a married lady who uses the "maiden name - husband's surname" format?
Let's say Jane Smith marries John Doe & now wants to be Jane Smith-Doe.
In writing & during introductions, people always use the entire name. But suppose, you don't know her & have to call her up....would you ask for Mrs. Smith-Doe or just Mrs. Doe?
And after that, how would you keep addressing her, assuming you're not allowed to use her first name?
Also, Smith & Doe are both short names so its easy to keep saying Smith-Doe. What do you do when both surnames are really long?
What's the most correct way in these situations?

1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoWould a kick to the crotch hurt a woman as much as it would a man?
We all know that there's nothing that hurts a man more than that. This isn't sadistic or perverted....but I'm just curious to know if the same thing goes for women too, or if there's another spot on the female body that could cause that much pain.
Thanks.

I saw it recently on American Idol. One of the candidates did it to Simon. When Paula explained the meaning, they beeped out most of the words. So what does it mean?

5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy is a child born out of wedlock termed a B*****d?
This is something I've always wondered about. The child has no choice in whom it is born to. Then why do such children continue to be stigmatized? Aren't the ppl who conceived it the real b*****ds?
P.S. I'm not referring to children born to rape victims, but to those ppl who were in the 'heat of the moment'.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

I'm looking for tips on how to correctly measure bra size, and what styles work on different body shapes. Do you know of any site that has accurate advice on this?

8 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoAfter-effects of permanent hair straightening...?
I have dry, wavy hair that's very frizzy at the ends and no matter how I tie it up, some strands always come loose. I've blowdried and set my hair on occassion and I really like that look.
I've thought of permanent hair straightening, but the thing is, I suffer from a lot of hair fall as it is. So I'm worried about what would happen after the treatment. Could you please tell me if the hair fall would continue / get worse post-treatment. With my kind of hair, is it advisable to do it?
I'd rather have frizzy, flyaway hair, than no hair at all!!

7 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoLacquer / varnish help for a hand-painted ceramic-glazed plate?
Hi,
I'm painting a ceramic-glazed plate using paints for fabric/ceramic & other surfaces. I wanted to test it...so I rubbed my finger against the paint; nothing happened, so I scratched it gently, and it started flaking off.
The paint instructions say that you have to blow-dry the surface after 24 hrs, which I haven't done as yet. Will that keep it from flaking?
If not, should I use a transparent varnish or lacquer? Can you plz recommend some names?
Also, I plan to use this plate as a serving dish....can food be safely kept on a varnished / lacquered surface or are there some other precautions I need to take?
Thanks.
