Is there any way to correct this - short of deleting the program?

Wow. I am 5 weeks out from my blepharoplasty, and although all the bruising and most of the puffiness is gone, the itching and sensitivity to wind is driving me CRAZY!!! How long will this go on before things are really back to normal?

The factory rep for my new dishwasher said the reason the dishes aren't getting clean is because the dishwasher powder I am using is "expired". He said that to test dishwasher powder, pour a small amount in your hand and drip cold water on it. If the powder doesn't get warm in your hand, he says, then it has expired - meaning it won't work as a detergent in the machine.

He also said that dishwasher powders have an "expiration date" stamped on the box, but it is coded by the manufacturer so you can't tell how old the box is when you buy it.

I can imagine solutions to this (liquid soap, higher water temp, pre-rinsing, etc.), but I am amazed about the expiration thing. Ever heard of this?

I'm wondering if I should leave my computer (and monitor) always ON, even when I am not using it for several hours, or if it is better for the hardware to be switched OFF between uses. What are the pros and cons here?

I know that viruses can mess with installed software, but can they cause system hardware to fail? How can this be? I want the truth.

OK. I got a new PC (the old one crashed and I lost my iTunes library). I downloaded iTunes to the new computer.

Now, when I plug in my iPod, I get the message it cannot sync with the new library (since the existing library on the iPod was created on the old computer, yeah?).

H-E-L-L-L-L-P!!!

How can I preserve the library on my iPod and get the new library on the new computer to work with it???

I have read other suggestions about putting aspirin in the water - how much, and how often? Or adding sugar to the water. Again, how much and how often? Finally, I read that putting alcohol in the water helps by preventing the trunk from sealing off so it will keep absorbing water. But what KIND of alcohol? (I'm hoping plain old isopropyl, not premium scotch...) Thanks!
