  • Human Resource- Discrimination?

My son has this case in school. He is suppose to Figure out if it is discrimination and what law was violated. I can't figure what law was violated and he is needing help, it could be reverse discrimination but it just seems like the university was trying to keep from getting fined more. Any HR people here know?

Thomas Piper was the first black American faculty member in the school of Management at Central State University. Central State had been under an affirmative action decree for approximately 3 years but had been unable to find any qualified minority employees. Piper had a Master's degree from a reputable university, and was hired at a salary slightly above the average for new hires at the university. Edward Grayson had a Doctorate from an Ivy League University, as well as exceptional teaching and research experience for a new Ph.D. When Grayson learned that Piper received the position, he claimed that reverse discrimination had occured.

  • Echo Chainsaw troubles - keeping chain tight?

I have a Echo CS-530 that i just got in October of last year. I can't seem to keep the chain tight when I run it, I will tighten it up and it will be loose within 5 minutes of usage. I even tried another new chain thinking it may be that and it didn't work. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause? The place I bought it is 3 hours away so I am trying to solve the issue myself first. I have maybe used this saw 6 times and it has never really kept the chain tight. I used it the other day to cut some stumps out of the ground and it wouldn't even cut them hardly.

    Any ideas?

Hi, I have begun doing research on the stock market, I am using investopedia.com to do simulations and such. Could anyone give me some advice on what they look at when they are first buying stock and such? Like what makes you pick the stock you do? Does it have to do with the 52 week high/low or is it the price of the share. I know these factors are important i'm just trying to get them straight.

I am trying to find a good pair of hunting boots, it seems like every time i buy a pair of boots they only last me a season. I hunt deer, pheasant, quail, turkey, duck and sometime hog. I am not in very tough conditions at all, I live in Oklahoma, the coldest I hunt in is usually about 30 degrees or so. Anyone got any suggestions? price is not an issue, although the cheaper the better.

  • Help picking a duck call?

I am just trying to pick my first duck call. I'm pretty new to duck hunting, been deer and turkey hunting all my life. Also been pheasant and quail hunting lots too. After reading several reviews and listening to sound bites from several different calls i've kind of narrowed it down to the RNT QuackHead Double Stacker or the Buck Gardner Double Nasty II. I know i should get a double reed since i'm just starting out. Does anyone have any experience with these calls or have any other suggestions for me? Any information would be appreciated.

Also what should i saw while doing a basic quack? i've heard to say "hut" is that good advice?

  • Non-typical bucks?

I have been really curious to what causes a buck to be non-typical? The antlers look like there pretty much melting down, is this because of the heat? or because the rack is so big it just starts falling?
