  • How do I respond to my manager?

Without even asking me or even giving me a heads up, my manager just tosses me projects. It would be nice to know beforehand what the project is about and it would be nice if she asked about my bandwidth before giving me anything. She always wonders why I don't have time for anything else and part of it is because I keep getting projects to work on. How do I respond to my manager about this without it sounding harsh?

  • Should my roommate have to buy me a new speaker?

My roommate moved out a couple of months ago. Instead of packing things himself, he hired movers to do it for him. I always kept a Bluetooth speaker on a bookshelf in the living room. When I went to use it I found it to be missing. My roommate was already gone so I couldn t ask the movers and my roommate didn t know the name of the moving company. I thought maybe the movers accidentally put it in one of the boxes, so I asked my old roommate to look when he had a chance. Two months later, my old roommate finally finished looking through all of the boxes and nothing showed up. It looks as if it was stolen, which was not what I wanted to assume. However, I m not surprised since one of the movers totally trashed my bathroom by taking a shower in it.

So, because the movers stole my speaker while my roommate was moving out, should I ask my old roommate to buy me a new one?

  • Should I still go on my trip?

My fiancee have been planning a trip to Europe for the last 6 months. It would be me, her, and her parents for 2 weeks in Europe. Tomorrow is our trip and yesterday my grandmother, whom I m really close to, is in the ER. She had a really bad accident the other day and I can tell she s getting closer to the end of it all. It breaks my heart to see her so fragile and small. I m really not sure how long I have left with her. If I don t go on this trip then my fiancee will be really sad, but I know she ll be understanding, but still really sad. If I do go then I could have spent two weeks with my grandmother for whatever time she has left. I don t live near my family so this would be one of the longest times I would get to be with them. Everyone wants me to go to Europe and enjoy myself but I just don t know. I just don t want to come back and something happened and I missed out. What would someone do in my situation?

  • My fiancée makes more money than me and it bothers me?

My fiancée and I have different types of careers so the pay is obviously different, but it s really hard to ignore the fact that she s making way more than me because I just can t drop money whenever I want like she can. I can t travel as much as she can and I just can t buy whatever I want without really thinking anything about it. So, because I m not making as much as she is, she has suggested that she will pay for most of our wedding, which I hate, because her parents already think that I am not capable of financially supporting her. They keep asking her if she s okay with marrying someone like me and they ask if she s going to end up paying for most of the wedding. It really sucks. I think it s because I m old fashioned and I want to be able to know that I can always take care of her in every way possible. People always say, "one day her money will be your money," but I don t want to feel like I m only wealthy because of her. How do I cope with this?

  • What to do about my super loud roommate?

I live in 2 bedroom house with one other roommate. The guy is friendly and all, but he plays online video games non-stop. The second he comes home from work, around 5pm, he's goes straight to his room and will be online until about 2am. On the weekends, he'll never come out of his room. He'll play video games all day and all night, and order food delivery because he can't leave his game. Now, I do not have a problem with him playing games 24/7. That's his life, but the reason I bring up all of these details is because he's so effin loud! There's never a quiet moment in the house and no matter where you are in the place, you can hear him. I try to watch TV and I have to keep turning up the volume to hear. I have to listen to my music louder to tune him out. In the past, him and I would get into arguments over the AC, because he's constantly on the computer which makes his room get pretty warm, so he would turn on the AC in the entire place turning my room into a fridge. We settled on that issue, but now it's just the constant noise. It's the yelling, the pounding, and stomping, and loud Joker laughter. It's never quiet in the place. I really like where I'm living because it's affordable, it's close to my office, and it has everything I need here, but my roommate is just so loud. I've had to tell him to keep it down before because I had to wake up early for work, but you can't turn off who he is as a person. What to do?

  • Question for all videographers and photographers!!?

As a videographer and photographer, I get asked to film and photograph almost everything even when I am not "working". I love what I do, but sometimes I just want to attend an event as a guest and not work when I don't have to. I'm assuming this is common with most people who know how to film and shoot photos. You probably get asked to bring your camera everywhere and be the photo taker. My question is, how do you handle that kind of thing? I see being a videographer and photographer as a gift and a curse.

  • Should I pursue another girl?

I've been dating this girl for about 5 months. She's really nice and we have a lot of fun together, but the more I find out about her the less I see myself with her in the long run. Last week, while I was out with some friends, I met another girl. The second I saw this other girl I couldn't take my eyes off of her. She wasn't hot or sensual looking, but she was genuinely stunning. Eventually, I had the chance to talk to her and we talked for about 45 minutes straight. Then, she uttered the most painful words any girl can say, "My boyfriend". My heart dropped and I just thought to myself, "well, that just really sucks". After I left, I said it was great to meet her and we both went on our ways. Later, a friend tells me that the girl had asked about me. She said she had wished we exchanged numbers, because she really enjoyed talking to me. She said we had a lot in common and she wanted to get to know me more. I don't really know what that really means, though. "More" as in a friendly way or "more" as in a romantic way. I don't know how she and her boyfriend are, so I can't assume that she likes me more than a friend. I'm just really puzzled right now because I thought she would just forget about me, but she didn't and I didn't either. If she does like me, should I pursue her instead to see what happens? I don't want to physically cheat on the girl I'm with now, but I don't see a future with her because of our cultural beliefs and lifestyle. What to do?

  • How do I know I'm worshipping THE God and not just a god?

I have a friend who asked me yesterday, "How do I know if I'm worshipping the God of the Bible and not just some sort of higher power God that might just might be a cosmic entity god?" Something along those lines. I didn't really know what to say for sure. Please, I'm looking for well thought out answers here. If you don't believe in God, please don't respond to this as I am not looking for sarcastic remarks or answers about a non existing God. This is for theologians and people who respect other peoples religion.

  • Should I "right swipe" my ex on a dating app?

This morning, I found my ex on one dating app, but I swiped left and then later on during the same day I found her on another app. This time, I haven't yet swiped because I am curious if I should "right swipe" her to see what happens. Within the last few days, my ex has been somewhat popping back up in my life again. I haven't seen her, but in some form or another, she has popped up, and it's making me think, "maybe it's for a reason". I don't know. Should I swipe right with her to see what happens? or ignore it? We've been broken up for almost a year now.

  • Am I lactose intolerant?

I can't eat mac and cheese, nachos, frozen yogurt, or drink straight up milk, but I am able to have milk shakes and eat pizza perfectly fine. Am I lactose intolerant or is it something else? Symptoms are typically bloating and diarrhea.

  • Can someone please interpret a dream for me?

I keep dreaming about a girl in another girls body. I know who both people are in my dream. I would dream of an individual but for some reason I know the person is someone else. It's a person in another person's body. The physical body of someone I know is there, but the characteristics and personality are of someone else, of whom i know of. What could this mean?

  • How do I turn a private AVCHD video folder into a regular video folder? (Urgent)?

I shot a video with a Panasonic Lumix in AVCHD. When I went to search for my video files on my SD card, the videos were in a Private Folder. When I opened the folder, there's a single Quicktime file. When I click the Quicktime file, a single window pops up with all of my footage, but I cannot do anything with it. I can click on the video clips and watch them, but I can't do anything with them. Can someone please help me make these files into a regular format?

  • How do I fix an umbrella?

I bought an automatic umbrella from Ebay. It's a nice heavy duty umbrella, but when it arrived, the open/close button was missing. I asked to return it, but instead was just offered a full refund. Basically, I now have a free faulty umbrella. Does anyone know how to create an open/close button or know how to get one? Are there such things are buying umbrella parts?

  • How do I deal with roommates who don t do anything around the house?

I live with my girlfriend and two other roommates. My girlfriend and I take care of the place, but the other roommates don t do anything except eat, sleep, and poop. It s basically like having two cats. I ve told them before to help around, but the girl always has an attitude by claiming she does a lot around the house. She only cleans when her friend comes over or when her mom visits, and when she does clean all she does is use toilet paper to wipe down a couple things and it sucks. My girlfriend and I are always picking up after them like little kids, because they don t know how to clean simple things like dishes properly. The girl always asks her boyfriend to wash a pan because she doesn t know how. They also only take care of the living room area because they bought all of the furniture. Other than that, they leave the rest of the place a mess. Fortunately, they will be moving out soon in a couple months, so it won t be forever.

  • I don't like my roommates girlfriend, why?

My somewhat friend, whom is also my roommate now, started dating this girl a while back, who is also my roommate, and I know he's happy and she's happy, but she's what you'd call a B with an Itch. She's super lazy and has him do everything for her. She's controlling to the point where she tells him what he can and can't do, unless it's with her. She really immature to the point she cries over everything. Like I scolded her once and she cried and I told a somewhat scary story and she cried and got mad at me for telling it. I don't know why this guy is dating her and they both claim to be very serious with each other. I know it most likely won't last, but how do I deal with a girl who I know is bad for my roommate?

  • why do Asian girls wink?

I've noticed that a lot, if not all, Asian girls from China wink or close one eye when taking photos. Does that mean anything or is that just a way to look cute or flirt?

  • I dont like my gf's sister. help?

I've been with my girlfriend for a few years now, but more recently, i have noticed how much i don't like her sister. she's a heavy party girl. she doesn't always make wise decisions, especially when drunk. she smokes weed, she's very unappreciative and selfish, and she cheated on her bf a few times. My gf is going to be turning 21 soon and her sister wants to take her out to celebrate. my gf is very different from her sister. My gf is more wise, but i feel her sister will peer pressure my gf into acting dumb. i'm 24, but i don't get drunk and i do not party. to me, that is kid stuff. Because of my gf sisters history, i really do not trust her or even like her. i do not want to tell my gf that i do not like her sister, but it has been on my mind lately and i do not know what to do. should i tell my gf, or maybe talk to her sister?
