This season of Television seems to be focusing heavily on homosexuality? Can we please just get back to good old television?

Twice now I have heard people use Schrödinger's cat in TV shows like it was some great new concept for quantum physics. Yet Schrödinger came up with this in the 30's and Aesop came up with it much earlier in his story the Rouge and the Oracle. It could even predate Aesop. So why do we credit Schrödinger? Could we not say the Aesop's Rogue or something along those lines? Why does science borrow from the past and fail to credit the source?

I am only sorry it was not Solomon as it would really make the science type cringe.

I ask this here because I know many Science types hang out here and are familiar with the concept. I also have it here because many Science types trust the old lab coat way too much and think they have the end road to all knowledge.

I was watching some extreme animals on Animal Planet and they showed an Aye-Aye. While briefly speaking on it they showed its skinny middle finger it uses as a bug grabber. How did evolution adapt just the middle finger? It seems to me all the fingers would adapt from the little I know of evolutionary theories. How can you defend or explain one out of five digits (each hand I am assuming)?

I have read other posts and I still cannot get it. Let us assume you are right and the Saints in Heaven can hear your prayers. Who are they going to take them to? Jesus or God? If I remember correctly you are also trinitarians and thus Jesus and God are the same. So why go through a middle man/woman? Go straight to God. Even Jesus when he taught prayer did not go through Elijah, Elisha, Moses, Samuel or any other person. He went straight to God.

I started thinking about this today in service when Pastor mentioned Saints and they were not the dead but living that are believers. That would be a good second question for another day.

During a devotion a work today it finally clicked in my mind the truth about hell. It is not a club by which we move people into the fold, but rather a horrible reminder to those of us not doing our part to show and share the love of Christ. Where can I verify a story I once heard. After a heated battle between trenches a young German soldier was crying out in pain, but he was in the kill zone between lines. A soldier (American?) could not stand it any more and took off his weapons and crawled towards the soldier. At first the enemy fired at him mistaking his gesture. When he reached the wounded man he proceeded to drag the wounded man back to the German lines. Once the Germans realized what he was doing they quit firing at him. Once on their side they took the wounded man and an officer thanked the man and took one of his medals off (Iron Cross?). and gave it to him. The soldier was let go and walked upright from one side to the other.

I ask this because I was reading up on your beliefs from wikipedia and I started to think about your views on blood products. How can one aid a person in what they consider a sin? I am not trying to mock you. But, can you say "well it is the patients choice and I am absolved." Because you could say that if you were forced to go to war it is the Governments fault and you are absolved during compulsory service. Thank you for your answers.

I have a Tree Frog in an enclosure with two Green Anoles. I live in Oklahoma and my house is currently 72 degrees and I have a light giving off extra heat. I found my Tree Frog buried under the shelter. Is this typical or is the Tree Frog in distress from heat?

I work at a Christian University in the Maintenance Department. Recently we started having a mandatory meeting on Monday. The first part of the meeting was basic shop talk and ends with a short Bible based devotional and prayer. The devotional material is straight from the Bible, but if it were to have a slant one way it would be Nazarene to Non-denominational. We have a group of Mexicans that did not want to attend as they thought it would be like changing their faith. Is this a true sentiment? Is it wrong for Catholics to attend other denominational meetings that are Christian?

Would requiring illegal immigrants to serve 8 to 10 years military service be a good way to gain citizenship? If I person entered legally they could serve 1 to 4 years unless they had a desirable occupation. (oh and no more anchor babies period.)

I am watching the Discovery Channel and they are looking for a lost Pharaoh. I suddenly realized that they were disturbing the dead. Knowledge and religion aside I wonder how long is one allowed to rest before getting stuck in a museum? I work with sheet metal and have to be on my knees a lot so my toes get abused.

They say it is the clothes that makes the man. I could not agree more. But, to me the make is "sinful." We wear clothes because we failed God's test. Now we parade around in them saying that we respect God by wearing our Sunday best.

Not only our best, but some wear clothers that would feed a homeless person for a week. Church hiearchy could feed a homeless person for a month.
