  • I am from Texas and thinking about moving to Phoenix - do you think it will be too hot?

I am moving from Fort Worth - hot in the summer - usually about 40% - 50% humidity. I am thinking about moving to Phoenix. Everyone says its soooo hot. I can see it is, but I am wondering since I am used to the hot summers if it will be unbearable for me.

Has anyone had a similar situation or opinion on this?

  • Looking for small city/town - walk to resturants?

I am looking to move to a small city or town 100,000 population or less. I want to be able to walk to restaurants, shopping, etc.. Prefer the southern half of the U.S. as I am not a fan of cold weather, but realize its inevitable for most locations. Thanks

  • Older dog restless and can't sleep?

I have a 14 year old mini schnauzer. He seems to sleep better in the day, but most of the night he is restless. He will lay down and the get up and change positions - sometimes like every 30 seconds or minute. He will go and dig on a pillow and then try to lay down only to get back up and do the same thing. He seems very uncomfortable. He has regular vet visits and is going to the bathroom fine. No food or environmental changes. Any suggestions would help as I am tired....I took him for a walk at 5am this morning just thinking he might need to get out - but he just feel asleep at 3am..so he has got to be exhausted. He does have an enlarged heart, but is on daily meds and seems to be doing well. Thanks

  • Flooded bathroom - do they have to repair?

The upstairs apartment flooded, which came down through our apartment into the bathroom. The maintenance came over right away and started removing the water from the carpet, but I still have ripples in the walls from 2 days ago. Shouldn't management cut that out and replace so I do get mold?

  • Federal Employment (Civil Service)?

I have recently retired from the military and I am seeking Federal Employment around a GS-11 or GS-12 position. If I take a GS-9 would that do more harm than good? Would I be able to move to a GS-12 position like a year later or would I have to move through the GS level since I took the GS-9?

  • Ideas for hosting a jalapeno eating contest?

  • My dog has stage 4 periodontal disease - what can I do in the mean time?

The last time I had my dogs teeth cleaned (2 years ago) I was in Europe and after they cleaned it and pulled two front bottom teeth - that night his gum collapsed and we were at the vet at 10pm getting emergency sutures. So now I am back in the states and my dogs teeth are so bad they want to removed most of them. It will cost me $1,800 - unfortunately I don't have that right now. Is there any antibiotic I can give him in the mean time to help.

I am doing everything I can to save as he is 13 and already is deaf and has cataracts in one eye - I don't want him to be miserable. He has travelled all over the world with me and has been a great dog.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

  • How do you find the value of an older car?

I am looking for the value of an 1989 Nissan Sentra - automatic - 60,000 miles - seems to be in good condition. Let me know any links. Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds don't go back that far...at least that I could figure out.
