To me, it was astounding to realize so many don't value freedom of religion. If they had it their way, they'd probably round up all Muslims and send them to "camps."

This question is obviously directed at theists who believe God is male.

Humans created 12 arbitrary months. We could have created months on different days of the year, created less (longer) months, or more (shorter) months. Do we also arbitrarily create personalities to correspond to which month someone was born? How would this change if we instead used a 10 month calender?

Please correct me if I made any false assumptions.

Explain to a skeptic why you think a person born in a specific month is more prone to a specific personality, or whatever you believe. Evidence to back your claims is appreciated. Thanks.

This documentary came out a while ago, but I just saw it today. My question is: Do you agree with the logic behind the film?

In case you haven't seen the film, some bits of logic are as follows:

* Evolution has led many people toward atheism; therefore evolution is false (or shouldn't be taught)

* In the US we have freedom of speech; therefore teachers should be allowed to teach ID as science.

* Belief in evolution leads to Social Darwinism, eugenics, and abortion. It may lead to another Holocaust.

* Some people believe life was seeded on earth from aliens. Therefore evolution is false.

I'll repeat my question in case you missed it. Do you agree with Ben Stein's logic?

This question is mainly for theistic evolutionists.

Most mutations have no effect on the organism; of those that do, most are disadvantageous. How can evolution have a conscious direction or goal if mutations are seemingly random?

I'm sitting through one of his standups and haven't laughed once. I feel it's all energy and no material. What's your opinion on him?
