I've been on the cat's q&a off and on for a while, and I've noticed a couple things. Most answerers are in favor of spay/nuetering a pet, but go on and on about how terible it is to declaw a cat. Isn't kinda hypocritical? Both cause pain, and change in behavior in the animal. But one is embraced, as being a way to fix problem behavior, and keeping extra kittens out of the population, but the other is abhored.

Both my cats have their claws, and I keep them trimmed. But when of them wakes me up by kneeding my chest and digging in a little with her claws, it makes me wonder why declawing is so bad...

I just got a new cat from my local humane society. She's a real sweetheart, very mellow and loving, and she's good with other cats. The problem is my other cat. He's been alone for so long, he's forgotten how to get along with other cats. He hisses and makes "devil noises" (very low, scary growls) at her. Is there a way to destress him? I'm willing to give it about two or three months, but I really want a quick fix, as well.

My sister and I were going to live together for a year, and I turned down cheaper rent elsewhere, so I didn't leave her in the lurch. Now she decided today she doesn't want to live with me anymore and found somewhere else.

This guy keeps calling my work and swearing at me (I'm the receptionist, and he's asking questions and throwing hte swear words in for flavor?) Can I call him on it? Tell him to quit it or I'll hang up? He's allready mad, and I feel like I don't get paid enough to put up with it...
