Let's face it--the Canadian women won bronze, but should have been playing for Gold, had the semifinal game vs. the US been called fairly.

I am seriously hoping for a podium incident--i.e. for Canada to get wild applause when they get their medal, and the US to be booed by the crowd, or maybe for some intense staredowns or other interactions between Canadian and American players. I am hoping for some extra drama to the medal presentation--while not really giving FIFA anything else to conduct a stupid investigation over. What are you hoping for--or any other ideas?

Was the horrible officiating in yesterday's Olympic semifinal soccer match between Canada and the U.S. merely incompetence of the Norwegian referee, or does it point to corruption between the US (or someone on their behalf) and the official?

I do not know if I have ever seen worse and more corrupt officiating in soccer than I saw today in the USA vs. Canada women's soccer match. Based on how they played, both in skill and sportsmanship, the Americans did not earn their victory.What do you think the US had to do to bribe Olympic officials to ensure they made the gold medal match?

(By the way, I am a Jays fan, and, yes, I am asking this.)

Consider these as well:

- Goofy is FULLY dressed (shoes, pants, shirt, vest) whereas the duck characters go commando.

- Goofy (a dog) walks fully upright, has full speech, and wears clothes whereas Pluto can only make dog noises, walks on all fours, and wears nothing but a collar.

- Despite the fact Donald Duck wears no pants, when he somewho ends up out of his partial sailor suit and is fully unclad, then he turns red from embarrassment.

- Aside from Disney there are many more. For example, on the children's series Arthur, Arthur has a several friends who are dogs who walk upright, speak, and wear clothes (i.e. Fern and Binky) but has a puppy who walks on all fours and behaves like a regular dog.

Can anyone else offer any insightful comments OR further examples of these eccentric inconsistencies?

You know what I'm talking about. I don't care how profile a case (or a defendant!) is, since when, ever, has it been legal to complete an order of probation for a crime while you are behind bars? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of probation?

Here's the thing. Want to attract a freakishly huge audience by both intriguing and offending? How about a Pay-Per-View featuring newsmakers and the disgraced in gimmick matches?

Bear with me---this is extremely hypothetical and of course probably no more than whimsy or fantasy--but what do you think, and can you suggest some of your own?

Here are a few matchups:

Casey Anthony vs. Nancy Grace in a TLC match (if Nancy wins, no-holds-barred interview rights and an appeal for conviction to the Supreme Court. If Casey wins, million dollar payout.)

Paris Hilton vs. Lindsay Lohan--"15 Minutes of Fame" Match--15 minute time limit, anything goes, loser goes to jail and/or rehab.

Rupert Murdoch vs. Conrad Black--"Media Mayhem" padded cage match--in a cell, but cushy to reflect soft collar prison. Winner keeps media empire. Loses ends up in white collar prison.

Paula Abdul and Marc Anthony vs. Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler--"Love and Reality" Mixed Tag Match--winning couple get to be judges on reality show of their choice.

Ronald McDonald vs. The Burger King--Last Fast Food Mascot Standing match--loser must shut down their franchise.

Rosie O'Donnell vs. Oprah Winfrey vs. Ellen Degeneres--Triple Threat Tables Match--winner gets their own television show, losers are confined to sound-proof padded cell for one year.

Charlie Sheen vs. Chuck Lorre--Submission Match--outcome determines future of "Two and a Half Men"

Just a few ideas. More concepts and comments would be awesome!

Here's the deal.

The new WWE title belt WWE gave to Rey Mysterio last night, which then found its way into Cena's hands, looks fake. It looks like a WWE Shopzone special.

I propose that since Cena has always been more about moving merchandise and marketing than true quality in-ring performance and stroytelling, and that now he holds a WWE Shopzone belt while CM Punk hold the real (both in terms of real looking and legitimate) WWE title we start a campaign to have Cena officially labelled "the Shopzone Champion"

Other options are "The Shopzone Kid" or "The Plastic Champ"
