  • No water pressure - well pump.?

If the water sputters I change the cartridge in the water filter and it goes back to normal.

About a month ago the water was off completely and I changed the filter and it went back to normal.

This time there was a long period of time, while I was at work, with no water pressure - even the toilets were empty.

I changed the cartridge in the water filter and no water. I opened the valve under the water tank and some water drained out - i closed the valve and noticed the gauge was only at 15.

I can feel that there is water in the pipes coming from the tank but no pressure.

I opened the faucets and waited about an hour now - no water is coming out.

Will it take a long time and eventually come out or what?

I have no money for a plumber. What else can I do?

    Thanks

  • Should I write to the owner of the business where I worked?

I just quit my job after only being there one month. It was so horrible because of the manager.

I was the only woman out of about 20 sales people. Not only did I have to put up with constant sexual harassment from the other men (that I handled myself without reporting them) but the manager was extremely verbally abusive to those he saw as victims.

One salesman is 80 years old and handed in some paperwork. There was nothing wrong with his paperwork but the young manager said to the old man, "This is what I think of your deal" - he ripped the papers to shreds and wiped his rear-end with them, then threw the papers in the old man's face. The old man was so upset we thought he may have a heart attack.

This manager seemed threatened by my work experience and told me in my interview to never forget that he is smarter than me. He was unnecessarily cruel and purposely made things difficult. If I came to him to ask a question like, "Is there anything else you need from me to finish this report?" he would first make me stand and wait until he finished his football conversation until he would even look at me - then he would answer by telling me to go figure it out. I was in training and not being trained, but my sales were good and I kept up with the pace.

I would ask other people but they would tell me the wrong thing to do and each one had a different answer, then the manager would yell at me for not asking him. Even though I just asked him and he wouldn't tell me!

One evening when business was slow he made a test for the sales people. Whoever got the highest score could go home early. He said in front of everybody that if I passed the test he would be mad.

The test included questions about sports teams (nothing to do with our business) and even asked, "Who is the most full of sh*t in the company?" After the tests were completed the manager said a particular salesperson's name as the answer to that question. When that person (who was not working that night and who is a top salesman) found out how he was ridiculed in front of his peers - he was devastated and embarrassed.

The owner of the company seems to be a very nice man. I met him once but since he has 2 business locations he is usually at the other store.

Should I write the owner a letter about this manager in order to spare whoever may come after me from his abuse - or should I just let it go? Nobody else can risk saying anything (even though they complain to each other about him all the time) because they may lose their job or be uncomfortable. I quit so I have nothing to lose.

I wrote the letter but not sure if I should send it.

    Thanks

  • I feed and care for about 8 stray cats. One female had a litter of 2 - three months ago. She had another?

litter 3 days ago - only one is still alive and trying to nurse but one of the 3 month old kittens keeps pulling away by the neck very aggressively and takes the baby's place nursing. I caught him several times and got the baby from his mouth as he tried to run away with the baby. I'm afraid he wants to kill the baby and is jealous. I feel bad for the mommy because I had to bring her inside with her newborn and lock her in a bathroom (with litter box, food & water) so she can care for the baby - but mommy is afraid to be inside. What should I do? Give the newborn to a no kill shelter with a nursing mother who can take the baby?
