Looking for the name of a plant I got from a teacher in school once.....?
I think it was dollar tree/ or money tree. But all the pics I've found on line don't match up so it can't be that I don't think.
This teacher would give us these tiny seedlings/seed type things that the plant would grow in its leaves I think..... It would drop these in large quantities and thats one reason why she was always giving them out to kids.
They grew very fast. I for the life of me can't remember what this plant was called.
Anyone have any clues....?

5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow and when are you going to deal with sex, and your teenagers?
At what age are you going to talk to your teens/children about sex?
When you do what will your stance be? Abstinence only? A strong lean on abstinence, but making known what other options are out there?
Will you provide condoms/other birth control to your teens?
And for your above questions why is that the way you are going to handle things?

5 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWould visiting the Pregnancy section of Y! Answers change those for Abstinence only education?
I've posted this in various categories in the hopes of getting someone to really answer the question, not just say if they are for or against abstinence only education.
I am not meaning to judge anyone here who asks questions, that is the purpose of Y! Answers. And I focus on the pregnancy/parenting section because that is my "strong" suit, and what I find interesting. So don't think I'm judging those who ask questions.
The reason for my question is that I'm all for total sex education. Teach abstinence, but also follow it up with what other forms of birth control *condoms, the pill* are out there. What are the myths about sex, *Position effects pregnancy chance, pre-ejaculate can't get you pregnant* What the risks are from sex. What are safe forms of sexual intimacy etc.
I ask if those who are for abstinence only education should visit these boards just to see how misinformed, and uneducated in this arena some younger people are. And the fact that they are here asking questions means not only they WANT to know, but they despite best efforts on the "don't do it" front they are "doing it" anyways. Maybe they will see just how much this information is not only being needed by young people, but desperately sought after.
Maybe then we would have less young people here begging for help, and in some cases being ridiculed for asking what some consider "stupid" questions?
Your thoughts?

I posted this under Pregnancy but decided to expand where I posted it, as this isn't purely a "pregnancy" question

2 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoIs there a product that safely removes ice from wood decks?
My mother and grandmother share a joint backyard wood deck. In the winter it naturally accumulates ice patches. We have been looking for a product, such as sidewalk salt that can be put down in order to help melt the ice, to not only make walking safer, but the ice removal easier?
Is there a product out there that can safely remove the ice? I'm figuring ordinary sidewalk salt, or the chemical varieties would damage the wood somehow.
I've read that you can put down kitty litter for traction, but I was looking for something that would actually help to melt the ice.
Any ideas?
7 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoAre there some answers that the thumbs up/down shouldn't/don't apply to?
By this I mean, some people ask "opinion" questions. Such as "Do you like this name or this name?" Or Which brand of television do you prefer A or B?" When people are giving opinion based responses and get thumbs downed it kinda makes me chuckle/irks me.
It is totally different if the answer is truly off mark, wrong, or just plain rude as happens many times, then yes a thumbs down would apply, just as the opposite would be true for a good answer.
Was just wondering if anyone found this irksome, annoying or just plain rude?
5 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat to do to get a toddler back to pooping on the potty?
My toddler, who is very proficent at peeing in the potty, and who at one point was pooping with relative ease for a couple weeks on the potty now refuses to poop on the potty.
She doesn't appear to be constipated, and when she goes in her pull-up or panties doesn't seem to strain or cry. She just flat out refuses to poop on the potty. She will still pee on the potty when she has to go but WON'T poop. She has gotten to the point where she will poop with panties or a pull-up on, but will hold it if I have her go "nakie" around the house.
I'm getting frusterated/concerned about her lack of progress and lack of pooing. In our latest attempt we have forgone pull-ups all together even overnight *since she was waiting all day then going in her pull-up overnight* and gone with panties. She hasn't gone poo in three days *today being number three*
She only seems "in pain" when she poos after it has been so long
Does this sound medical? Or is there something I'm not doing right?
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoAnyone with the name Temperence/Temperance, need your opinion.?
I'm looking for the opinion of ladies out there named Temperence/Temperance.
We've thought about this name for our daughter, but alot of people give us the "hairy eyeball" if you will. They say our daughter will hate us for it later in life, that the kid will get teased etc.
I know not everyone loves their name, and that lots of names get picked on. But I was looking for the opinions of women with the name Temperence/Temperance just because it is kinda of a "unique" name.
Did you love having such a unique name. Hate it? Did you like this unique name, but would have died if you were named some other unique name?
And for those of you out there with "odd" or "unique" names what are your thoughts?
5 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhat is your opinion about parents falsely using religion as a way to avoid having their children vaccinated?
Many states have exemptions to allow parents to not have their children vaccinated on the grounds that it conflicts with their religion, and many religions do have legitimate objections to having children vaccinated, or against other forms of medical treatment. However what are your opinions on the growing number of parents who are claiming this exemption solely to avoid having their children vaccinated due to concerns that have nothing to do with religion. For example that vaccinations increase the chances of autism, that they may cause their children to get sick, or they frankly just don't believe they have any effect good or bad.
Are these people selfish, by putting themselves, their children and society at risk for outbreaks of diseases that vaccinations have for the most part erradicated? Or are these people exercising their legitimate rights to freedom of choice and the freedom from an overly intrusive government?
19 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCan Someone tell me the name of this Online Word Game?
I cannot remember what the name of this game was. It was on popcap games. You used words to make sentences, and then everyone in the room voted on the sentence. Whoever got the most votes won.
The words were on those little magnetic sections and you dragged them into the sentence line.
Does anyone know the name of this game? I want to know partially cause I want to see if it is still online to play, and partially cause it is driving me nuts.
Thanks
