hi all, just been reading my local paper (i'm in the uk) and i've just read and discussed a story with my friend.. a 23 year old man is searching for his birth mother who abandoned him at just a few hours old, this was back in 1989, he was suffering with hyperthermia when he was found and had to spend time in hospital, he was eventually adopted at the age of one, he is appealing for his birth mother to come forward and my friend and i were wondering if his birth mother was to come forward now would she still face prosecution? most parents who abandon their babies are found within hours or days and if the circumstances are as such that it's required then they face prosecution but what about the mother who this man is trying to find? would she face prosecution now or is there a time limitation on such a crime?

my daughter wants the recipe for her chap but i don't have one, could anyone help out please xxx

ok so my son has just started school he's 4 in january, he's not quite toilet trained (he is at home but not when we go out) he's also behind in his development (speech and motor skills), i have made it clear to the school that i will work with them and do anything possible when it comes to meeting his needs. he's had a few accidents at school and last thursday i was called to pick him up as he had soiled himself, which i did, i got quite upset ( alot has been going on in my life and this was just the straw that broke the camels back) but i calmed down after talking to his teacher (who was very understanding) and left, at 4 that afternoon i got a call from my health visitor saying that the headteacher had phoned her saying i was having problems toilet training my son, i'm not sure what to do about this because i have made it very clear to them that i will work with them in any way possible but then they go and do this behind my back, i almost feel betrayed and rather p.o'd about it to be honest my first instinct was to pull him out of the school i'm quite paranoid now that they aren't going to tell me anything when to comes to my son and i'll be left out in the dark , i realise that this most probably isn't going to be the case but i can't make sense as to why the head would go behind my back instead of addressing me with the problem.
