  • Weight out of control?

I'm 63 years old, 5' tall and weigh 160. I had a stent in my heart two years ago. Why can't I control my eating! I'm getting extremely worried that I'll have a heart attack because of the excess weight. Please, helpful suggestions as to how I can get this weight off.

  • Kids gave me new puppy for Christmas. Very smart. Giving snacks for good behavior. How much is too much?

Holly is 11 weeks old and is already going after a ball and bringing it back to me. She's 80% house trained. Should I give her snacks when she does her business outside in addition to good behavior? I've broken the bones into small pieces. I'm crate training her and she's doing well with that also.

  • Taking care of small pets as a small business.?

Was in NYC recently and saw lots of dog walkers. No one in my area to my knowledge provides this service. Anyone tell me what all is involved, especially legally. What do I do to get started?

  • Baby sitting small animals?

I am thinking about advertising that I would keep pets for people who go on vacaton or just need someone watch their pets for short periods of time. What are the legal ramnificatons? Would I need to get bonded and insured? I have 3 acres and plenty of room for dogs to run. I would only keep one at a time and would require a Vet's certificate of vaccinations since they would live with me. I would also require a release of liability agreement. What's your opinion? Should I do it?

  • Red horizontal lines on print-outs. How do I fix this?

Epson Stylus 600. Ran printer checks, cleaned head nozzles, all of it, but still get red horizontal lines. Just replaced both ink cartridges, but this was happening before I replaced them.

  • Break it off with him? Adults only please.?

I've been seeing a guy for over two years. We have great chemistry and like to do the same things. Both of us are single and retired with adequate incomes. The problem is that he won't interact with my family. I have a new granddaughter who means the world to me, along with my two daughters and my son-in-law. Thanksgiving has come and gone with no word from him. I don't want to get married again, but this relationship is lacking a very vital element. I'm over 60 and not concerned about being with someone as I am content most of the time being alone. I WILL tell him how I feel but I don't know if I want to continue to see him. What I want is a more rounded, family oriented relationship and I'm not getting this from him. Thanks in advance for you advice.

  • Should I keep my 1/3rd interest in my mother-in-law's house?

Upon my husband's death, I inherited his 1/3rd interest in his mother's house. Over the last 10 years I've been paying 1/3 of the taxes and maintenance. It is very difficult for my sister-in-law to uphold her obligation and it's becoming more and more of a problem. I'm only keeping it for my children as I don't need the money and have enough assets to leave them upon my death, without the money from her house. It is understood that if the house is sold, and she is still living, the money will go to her. She says she will change her Will to include them, but I have no guarantee of that and upon her death there may not be any money left. I feel I may be depleting my assets to preserve the house now and I should just sign my interest over to my brother and sister-in-law. What do you think?

  • Is it true that your husband's children aren't legally your step-children until you adopt them?

I've been told that. I am wondering for inheritance purposes. Are the step-children automatically included as heirs, as your own children would be or only if you put them in your Will? So if you didn't have a Will, would they be a legal heir by law?

  • Neighbors listening in on my phone calls with a home-based communications monitor.?

I had this happen to me in the past. Now anytime I'm on my cell phone and something confidential is discussed, I switch to my home phone. I've sent these people a certified letter and not until a week later did I get a letter from their attorney denying it. I know they were listening because information (a new cell phone #) was given to a third party. If they weren't guilty, they would have called me right away. Their delay verifies their guilt. Besides, they admitted it to someone and it got back to me. Is there any way I can stop this without actually cutting their satalite wires? I hate always being aware that they may be listening in on my calls!

Sometimes my boyfriend and I say some pretty private things in our e-mails that I wouldn't want anyone else to read.

  • The flourescent lights won't always come on.?

I've changed the bulbs but it hasn't helped. They don't flicker but are very dim, and then suddenly, after time, the unit comes on. Is this dangerous? Should I replace the whole light?
