  • In the state of GA, how long does a landlord have to fix the air conditioner once it is reported to them?

I reported to my landlord on April 25th that the air conditioner was not working. They sent out someone on Monday to fix it. The air worked Monday but NOT Tuesday and again.....I reported it on Tuesday night. The air condioner repairman came out inspected the air unit again and told me that he was authorized to make repairs at that moment because it was going to be expensive. Well, it is May 4th and still NO air conditioner. They have a new air unit sitting outside but now I'm being told that they have to order a coil and that will take another week. It is suppose to get hot and I have 3 small children under 5. Plus, this house does not have screens on all the windows so I can't open all the windows to help cool the inside. What should I do? Is my landlord breaking the law?

  • How to deal with pushy in-laws?

I'm having my 3rd child in late Nov by c-section. I have had a c-section before and I know how long it takes to recooperate from such a surgery. We live far away from family and friends....so, if anyone visits us...they usually stay with us and not a hotel/motel. My question is this....how do you tell people, especially pushy in-laws, not to visit until I feel better. I have already tried to tell my in-laws that I really do not want visitors until I'm feeling better. I had a horrible case with the "baby blues" with my second child and I really just want to concentrate on caring for me and my baby....not entertaining visitors. Plus, my in-laws do not help us out. They are old and everytime they visit us they expect us to wait on them hand and foot. So what should I do and say to them without hurting their feelings? Please only serious answers!!!

  • How many inches was your child's head at birth?

When my son was born, I had such a hard time having him. The doctor had to use a vacuum to get him out. And, once he was out everyone kept commenting on how big his head was. His head was 14 inches...is that really big?!

So, how big was your child's head?

  • Any suggestions to get a little boy that is 3 yrs old to poop in the potty?

My son is 3 1/2 yrs old and will peepee in the potty...he is no problems with that. However, I can't get him to poop in the potty. I have tried everything...bribery, telling him that his favorite characters poop in the potty, putting him on the toilet until he poops, reading him books that involve pooping on the potty and let him run around with no underwear on. Nothing is working!!! ( he has watched me and his dad go to the bathroom ) He wears regular underwear and poops in them! Anyone have any suggestions?

  • How do I handle a snotty sister-in-law?

I have always had problems with my sister-in-law(my husband's sister). We have never gotten along!

On Thanksgiving this year, we went to her house to visit with her family. And, basically, she made rude remarks regarding my parenting skills and belittled my son. I did not say anything because I wanted everyone to have a good Thanksgiving. But, now I wished I told her off! My husband knows about this matter. I told him that I never want to see her again and he agreed!( He can go see her but I will not be there.)

Am I right about requesting never to see my sister-in-law again?
