  • BMW 750i not driven for 15 years...what could go wrong?

    Hello there,

I saw an ad for a rarely used BMW 750i with only 35000 KM mileage. The guy was selling it for about 10,000 dollars and he said it was rarely used and was parked in the garage for 15years.

My question is that if you buy a car like that, even if its in a good pruning condition. What problems can i expect in the future? Electrical problems , engine problems etc.

I think this was a V12 car....so what is your input?

  • Best Disk imaging software....?

    Hello dears,

The place where I work, we receive lots of new systems which have no OS installed on them. We bought the original OEM Windows XP DVD's and use those to install on each and everyone of these new systems.

My problem is how can I make an image of one fully installed system (Windows + Applications) and re-apply that image to the remaining systems?

Its not easy to do all the installation manually. I have tried Norton Ghost, Acronis but cant seem to get them working properly.

If i get the image done on a DVD then I cant boot it on my PC. Then I have to make a separate boot DVD (Another manual work for me!)

Isnt there any simpler way where a single DVD can hold the image and then apply the image when I boot it instead of creating a separate Boot DVD?

Sorry for the long question as I wanted to make things clear for you..

  • How to install software for all users as an Administrator?

    Hi there,

I am an IT Technician working in a private hospital. I want to know how I can install software for all the users using that PC as an Administrator.

For example sometimes I want to install a Disk Cleaner so that its available to all the users on the same PC so that any user logs in to the PC, he sees the program and use it.

This is to save time or installing the software for all the user accounts (same PC) one by one.

We have Windows XP systems here and I have the admin rights.

  • User data backup at a company, whose responsibility it is?

    Hi there,

I work as a Helpdesk in somde company where there are hundreds of computers. I want to know who is responsible for the backup of the data on the systems. We at helpdesk dont have enough resources to daily backup all the data of hundreds of PCs, so shouldn't the user at least keep their most critical data on flash drives in case their system die beyond repair? or we have to do that too?

If you are working as an helpdesk, how do you handle this?

    Thanks.

  • Arab Scientists at Large Hadron Collider (LHC)?

    Hi there,

I am just curious to know if there are any Arab scientists participating in the experiments of LHC.

Does anyone know how many Arab countries are participating?

I know it sounds hopeless but I am asking out of curiosity.

  • Anyone worked on latest Civic and Corolla engines?

    Hi there,

I am directing this question to all those mechanics who worked on Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla petrol engines.

I want to know which one is built with higher quality standards and with passion. I know they are simple 4 cylinder engines but I want to know which company is making the best engines with the highest quality parts.

When you open any of these two engines, what is the thing that makes you admire the most. These two engines are the most reliable in the automotive world and I am just curious about their unique features which makes them standout in the crowd.

    Thanks for answering.

  • Road noise Question for owners of 2007/2008 Honda Civic Sedan?

    Hi everyone!

I have a 2003 Honda Civic LXi and I love it very much. I just dont like the horrible road noise when youre driving it on highway or little rough roads.

Even though I have changed the stock tyres with comfort and quiet ones.

My question is, how is the road noise in the latest 2007 / 08 Honda civic sedan? Is the cabin more quieter now, how is the suspension, is it still bumpy or smoother now?

My main concern is the road noise and the bumpy ride, how would you rate the improvement in the new Honda civics?

I am interested in buying the latest Honda civic but since I still have a 2003 model, I was wondering if its worth buying as 2003 sucks in road noise and bumpy ride. (otherwise its an excellent car!!)

    Thank you!

  • 2002 Honda Civic lack of acceleration?

    Hello there!

I have a 2002 honda civic lx manual transmission with 81000 km on it.

Recently i have noticed that when i press the acceleration pedal hard, the car doesnt speed up as fast as i press it.

It feels like as if it doesnt want to go as fast as i want it and it takes time to accelerate to the point where i want it.

    It doesnt rev high anymore.

I have changed the spark plugs, do my oil and filter change as recommended by the manual. This is a strange issue as when i want to accelerate on green light, it takes time to reach the speed. This problem just happened in the last 2 weeks.

What seems to be causing this and is it expensive to fix?

Thanks to anyone who answers to my question.

  • Oil issues related to 1997 Toyota Tercel?

    Hi friends,

My brother has a toyota tercel manual trans. it has almost 250000+ km on it.

The problem is that the engine oil gets too dark too fast. no matter which oil you put in it, after sometime in less miles, you check the oil and its black again.

also when he accelerates harder, a dark blue oil comes out of the exhaust. but in slow driving, the smoke is no where to be seen.

can anyone explain in detail what's going on here and what's broken and how much it will cost to get fixed? toyota is reliable so this problem seems strange. oil is always changed as mentioned in the manual.

    Thanks.

  • Hi there! I have a problem with a screeching sound with my 2002 civic manual transmission.?

I have a 2002 Honda civic lx with 80000 km on it. I have noticed that when i start my car, I hear a little screech screech (non stop) sound coming from the front part of the car.

What makes it strange is when I press the clutch, the sound completely goes away. when I remove my foot from the clutch , the screeching comes back.

I have my clutch fluid full and do my regular maintenance too.

What seems to be causing this and is it costly to repair?
