Scenario: Resteraunt.

Customer unhappy with service and meal and wants a full refund.

Manger screams at waitress and orders her to take money (£180) out of the tip box so he can give this to the customer. The tip box money is kept for a month, so this is everyone's tips, not just the waitress on duty at this time.

Surely, monies should have come out of the main resteraunt cash till and not the tip box.

My question:

Is this legal? Does a manager have the right to remove monies from the kitchen staff and waitresses tip box?

which is the cheapest way round doing this please? Do i have to get another sky box? Someone told me that i can just run a lead from the existing sky box to the tv in the bedroom, anyone know if this is possible please?

I have windows XP Professional. I have just bought an ipod classic 80gb model. It doesn't come with a disc u just go to the webside and download from their site. Anyways, i cant download any music from my pc to the ipod. I also had trouble a few months back with my nokia phone, not being able to do anything on the pc to it. Am now wondering if there is something on my pc which is blocking certain software. If there is, how do i find it? Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and how i can rectify it. I have tried differed usb port holes and still it doesn't work.

that the parents in Portugal of the missing little 3 year old girl need their brains checked out. Considering that they are professional i.e. doctors and presumably intelligent human beings, how on earth can any parent leave 3 young children under the age of 3 ALONE? I dont care how near they were. As a parent myself, i wouldn't have been thinking of any of the children being abducted but my thoughts would be, fire, one of the kids having nightmare, just waking up and finding no mummy or daddy there. Anything could happen. I am just so sad for this poor little girl. I know the parents are going to have to live with this guilt for the rest of their lives but i just cant believe that intelligent parents would leave 3 young kiddies alone in a strange country and strange apartment. I wouldn't do it at home let alone abroad. What are your comments please.

I formatted my camera a few days ago. Now, when i attach the lead from my camera to my pc nothing happens except a thing with 'E' drive. I used to get a box offering me a selection of options for me to download my pictures. Dont know what this E drive is for. How do i get the original box up so that i can download my pics again. Please help, god my grandson's 2nd birthday coming up and i want to be able to download the pics. Thanx in advance for anyone who solves this for me.

Now that the trial is finally over and he has been found guilty (right decision) do you think he should be hung?

My view is that he could then be made a martyr to the 'cause' and this in itself will cause more deaths in Iraq and all over the world. The fantatics will jump on this excuse to carry out their evil deeds. I think he should serve his sentence behind bars for the rest of his life. Sadam will love to be hanged, he will love the anger, hatred that his death will bring on the already smaller minority of shi-ites in Iraq. What do u all think?

I have asked a similar question yesterday but now have all the facts from my friend.

"I worked for a small company in A/C Engineering which was taken over 2 years ago. At the time of the takeover our employment contracts were honoured fully under an employment protection act. I believe this was a TUPE Agreement.

My employer now 2 years later has told us our present contract has now expired under TUPE and we need to sign new contracts.

My original contract is a permanent contract.

The new contract we have been issued reduces holiday from 25 days to 20 days, reduce sick pay from 6months full pay to 10 days SSP only, reduces overtime to basic rate of pay.

Do i have to agree to this kind of contract change?"

My friend is an aviation engineer and has worked at the same company for 5 years or so. His boss has now introduced a new contract which cuts 5 days off his annual holiday and stops all sick pay except statutory sick pay. Is this legal, can his boss do this?
