What is the best way to find a rental in another state if you can't visit?
I'm moving from a college town to another college town several states away. I'm in school now and don't have time to get out to the new town to look for a place. I'm having a hard time finding anything listed on the internet and I am really worried that if I agree to rent a place site unseen that it will be horrible. I don't know anyone where I am moving. How do I find a rental in a college town that doesn't make me want to bleach every thing? This is especially hard since I have a large dog who requires a backyard.
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoHow to choose the grad programs to which I should apply?
I am a geology student with a wide variety of interests. Most programs I have looked at offer programs that are interesting to me. I meet or exceed the minimum requirements of all these programs ,but I have yet to take the GRE. Also If I wish to apply to a geophysics program should I take the physics GRE subject test? How should I go about narrowing down my choices so I don't spend thousands of dollars applying to schools?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoMy dog sits on his hip rather than squatting, could this lead to back problems later in life?
He is a 1.5 year old hound mix (basset, fox hound, blood hound, and probably some shiba inu), we rescued him about 5 months ago from a shelter. I just want to know if his posture will cause problems later so I can be prepared to catch them early. He has no known health problems currently, he is at the proper weight and doesn't have the long saggy body of a typical basset.
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHas anyone with Pure-O or responsibility OCD had success with CBT or medications?
I've heard that the obsessive thoughts never really go away. My biggest problem is recurrent thoughts of hurting loved ones, the deaths of loved ones guilt for thinking said thoughts and anxiety. CBT is supposed ot make you ok with the thoughts but I want to get rid of them entirely. I have a hard time concentrating on anything, I can't be in large groups of people and have a hard time traveling. I also get extreemly anxious when people I live are traveling/socializing.
All I want is for the guilt and anxiety to go away.
