  • any manuals that will help in the rebuilding of a 4R70w?

My father and I are going to attempt a rebuild on his transmission. We have the skills to do it, we have just never worked on an automatic transmission. Anyways I am wondering if anyone knows of a good manual that will help us in the process and where to get it. The trans is in a 97' F150 reg cab with a triton v8

  • What should i do to prepare my car for a long journy?

Ok, I have a 96 plymouth neon. Its got 110k on it. Its had a few hard miles put on it but it runs great. I've done the timing belt, water pump, its got a fresh tune up, new intake, and the exhaust on it was redone before i got it. Also i believe the head has been rebuilt. I've taken it all over the place with no issues, only thing every really broke on me so far was the clutch cable. Im planning a 1500 mile journy to texas, thats 1500 both ways, with a two week stay in between.
