how old is too old to go trick or treating(for a kid)

i have a son (zach) who is 12 and has only 1 friend....literally. This friend is my other sons ex girlfriend (adrain) Zach and the girl are best friends, he is shy and has never clicked with anyone else before. He is not the ugliest kid around, but he is a little chunky (120 lbs at 5'3) Everyone knows he likes her more than just a friend but she wont date him because she has dated his brother. My main question is how do I get him to come out of his shell and make more friends? even possibly find a girl friend? I want him to be happy but dont know what to do.

we moved to a very small town last year. (less than 300 people) He is in band but is not athletic at all. There is not many after school activities to do since we live to far for him to walk home and his step dad and i both work full time.

No businesses in town... live WAY out in the country, also can't convience him to go to church, believes in God just doesn't like how loud my church is. (we have a rock band) :)

I have a 1999 Olds Alero. There is a button that I can push to turn off the traction control. Should I be using the traction control (its 90 degrees and sunny) or should I just use it on rainy, snowy or icy days? Does using it lower my gas mpg? Thanks for all your answers.

Today I read a story titled the top 10 missing links on AOL, it was talking about evolution. This has really got my brain wondering. Ok here are my questions that I would like to be answered. I believe in God, that is not a question. I have never really sat down and read the bible. I guess that I am not as good of a Christian as I could be, but there are a few things that I wonder about. I am an educated person who likes to see both sides of the story; I want to know why the engine runs not just that it does. I guess you could say that I am a very curious person whose mind needs to be fed.

1. Since God created the heavens and the earth then why do scientists think that we evolved from Apes? I don’t think I look like an ape, do you?

2. Does anyone really know which came first……the chicken or the egg, or the platypus or the egg? How do you know?

3. Did God create an alternate universe where everyone is good, healthy, the same social status and there is no war? How do we know that we are the only living beings?

4. I believe that God does talk to us we just have to be open to listening. Why do we not listen?

5. Why do some people not believe in God?

6. Some people say that God is not happy with us because of advanced medical devices, such as a pacemaker, life support….etc. So if God did not want us to make these instruments why did he give us the brains to figure them out?

7. Why is it the more money we make the less percentage we give to God? (and yes this is a fact)

8. Who thought of the big bang theory? Some guy on drugs is my thought.

9. Are there any really great books that dispute God versus Science? What are they called?

10. Do you have any stories where you can prove or disprove anything related to science and God?

Thanks for your answers, believe me, in my eyes you can neither have a right or wrong answer, I just want to know what everyone thinks.

i was reading a story this morning about how some christians beat up a jewish man because he replied Happy Hanukkah when they said merry christmas. A muslim came to his rescue. What my question though is how does this make you feel that for a country with freedom of religion and freedom of speech, you get beat up celebrating your religion?

I have been thinking a lot lately about going to college. I am married with 5 children between the ages of 8 & 12. I also work full time. Do any of you have similar circumstances? ok we have been friends for 5 years then she stole pain killers from my husband. i confronted her (in a letter) and she appologized. saying that she will never touch them again. i have always know that she has had a problem with pills but she has never done this to me before. my husband doesnt want her in our house ever again but i feel terrible for telling her that i never wanted to see her again. should i forgive her or just move on and hope that she gets help? should i tell her husband? she has a 1 year old daughter that she takes care of all day.

is it me or do you think...just kidding, rofl.......? i think that everytime i see her name. and dont get me wrong i love her writing, i am just wondering if she is making fools out of us.
