She shows all of the symptoms of ear mites. How could she have gotten them if she's never been outside?

Without sounding overly prideful (which I am) when is it appropriate to use 'Dr.' or MD in non professional settings. Since it's my son, I don't want to seem like a jerk, but as a new doctor even he doesn't know if or when he should use his title, or correct someone.

My 13 y/o, 10lb Chihuahua has diabetes for at least 8 years now. She gets 3 units of Humulin N 2X a day. The cost has gone through the roof. What used to be about $35-40. is now over $100. (no insurance) The pharmacy suggested that Novalin N is comparable at a fraction of the cost. I've asked 2 different vets and they just shrug and say they don't know. I've looked into cost share discount cards, but that only helps about $4. [there used to be a product-vetsulin-that was affordable, but is no longer available.] Any Suggestions???

I've gotten used to using the touchpad to open things by just double tapping. But now that only works to move the cursor and I have to use the left and right buttons. My Chihuahua takes 3 units of "Humalin" 2X per day. (Vetsulin is no longer available) Is it possible to switch her to my insulin (I use Lantus pen-8 units)? I have had tips, and powder and glue in the past. Each time I have removed them because they were beginning to get painful to fill-in. I have the physical game which looks like chinese checkers for one. It is a round board with marbles for each dimple, except the center. You jump and remove each until one is left. Presumably it was invented in the Bastille. I'd really like to play it on line with my other Solitaire games. NO-haven't seen it in Yahoo!Games.
