I don't understand the rules of this, the reciprocal rule. How is it done?

I know that x^1/2= √x, so is 3^1/2 = √x? But how is this equation done?

This is my first practice essay. Please point out my errors and suggest ways that I can improve. Thank you so much.

I tried to emulate the Intro-Ex1-Ex2-Ex3-Conclusion format, and clearly that didn't work out so well for me as I didn't seem to finish my essay in time. Hopefully, with practice I can improve on that. Or do you suggest that I change my format to Intro-Ex1-Ex2-Conclusion?

Excerpt: To change is to risk something, making us feel insecure. Not to change is a bigger risk,though we seldom feel that way. There is no choice but to change. People, however, cannot be motivated to change from the outside. All of our motivation comes from within.

Assignment: What motivates people to change?

Change is inevitable. Whether we want to change or not, it is something that will eventually happen with time. The factor that motivates people to seek this catalyst before its eventual time is the hope for a better future. Three archetypes that demonstrates hope as the motivation for change can be found in F. Scott Fitzgerald's the Great Gatsby, George Orwell's Animal Farm and in US President Obama's campaign platform.

In the Great Gatsby, the epynymous of the novel, Jay Gatsby sough change in the hopes of impressing and gaining love from his previous paramour, Daisy Buchanan. Jay Gatsby went to the extremes of changing his background, career, and status in order to win over Daisy Buchanan. Although his efforts was futile, the reason Jay seeked change was for the hope that he will one day be reunited with Daisy, thus illustrating the hope for a better future as the motivation for change.

Another literary novel that exemplifies hope as the motivation for change can be found in George Orwell's Animal Farm. The animals started the Rebellion against the owner of the farm, Mr Jones, because they had a notion that with Mr Jones gone, there will be an idealistic and peaceful soceity amongst the animals. Hope was the foundation for the Rebellion seeking change.

In 2008, presidential candidate Barack Obama campaigned with the slogans "Yes, we can" and "Change." Although, the United States is a stable country, this campaign appealed to many voters because the propaganda implied that with change in the nation, there is only

Except when I tried to get started on it, reading through the text and all, I can't find anything listed on the executive offices, or even executive officers.
