What's your favorite horror movie?
Personally for me, movies with serial killers doesn't really scare me. Excuse me for being sadistic, but bring on the gore. :) But its just those with paranormal stuff, those are the ones that gives me the creeps. :O What's your favorite and why?
Ohh, you guys should check out the original japanese versions of movies like The Ring and the Grudge, those are much scarier.

Alien (1979)
I don't think it falls under the category of paranormal, but it is a very good movie. I think it's scarier than most horror movies because in most of them the characters can just escape from where they are, or call the cops, but in this movie the characters are in space where they can't really do those things.

I can not quite put a finger on my all time favorite; but, I love the ones that play with the mind, too.
The paranormal stuff can be a trip - makes you take a second look and freeze trying to figure out the things that go 'bump in the night'.
Have a good one...

Takashi Mike's Audition, it's appalling horror. It's utterly disturbing and it's bloody brilliant. It's one of the most original and truly disturbing (sadistic) horror film's i've ever seen.
