Ball python crawled under my dishwasher?
So my girlfriend just got a ball python, and she left for work right after we brought it home. So I was left to get the tank set up. Anyways, I got it set up and put him in there but didn't close off the tank right away. Long story story short, he crawled his way out when I wasn't looking and went under my dishwasher. I can't get the dishwasher all the way out of the wall and can't get my hand all the way back there to reach him.. Sooo how would I go about getting him out from back there?
3 AnswersReptiles7 years agoUrgent question about school FAFSA?
Ok, so my girlfriend is working on getting into college. She has already been approved for financial aid, but she hasn't been able to actually sign up for classes yet due to not getting her shots done. Classes start this Monday and because she's so late she'll probably only be able to apply for the 12 week semester instead of the 16 week. So my question is; Will she still receive the FAFSA on this Monday like she was due to receive it, or will it not come in until the start of the 12 week semester?
1 AnswerFinancial Aid8 years agoHow to get started learning video game programming?
I want to get started learning programming but I can't find any info on how to start. So does anyone with experience have any advice on a starting point? A book to read and a language to start on maybe. Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerTechnology8 years agoWorried about applying for a receptionist job?
To start, the job is a simple receptionist job at a veterinary clinic. I'm 18 yr's old and just out of high school. My previous jobs have all dealt with customer relations. I know my way around most office computer programs (excel, powerpoint, word) and have had volunteer experience at animal shelters.. So, I'm not too worried about being qualified. I just wonder if they're going to even consider an 18 yr old with a 3 job work history:/ Either way, if anyone had any experience as a receptionist and can tell me what I could do to increase my chances of getting the job it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance:)
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoApplied for SSI and Disability Benefits, got a letter for disapproval of Disability. Can I still get SSI?
Exactly as the title says, I applied for both Supplemental Security Income and Disability checks. I got a letter saying the my request for Disability was denied. I just wanted to know if that means that SSI was also denied? I'm calling in the morning to clear it up, but if someone's been through this already it'd definitely help me sleep tonight:/
5 AnswersFinancial Aid9 years agoHow long is the average wait to get social security disability claims to clear?
I'm going through major back surgery and the recovery takes around one to one and a half years. I want to apply to get SSC disability checks while I'm out of work, so I was wondering how long the wait usually is to get it approved. Would the surgery/recovery time itself be enough to get a disability check? And if not, is there another option I can take to help pay for my bills while I'm out of work? I'm really just worried about not being able to cover rent or electricity bills or food or really anything..
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoPenalty for a minor falsifying a police report in Texas?
I filed a police report for domestic abuse, it led to felony charges against my dad. The whole police report was true, but I think the penalties my dad is facing are extremely over the top. I know I can't do much about it since the state picked up the charges, but I figure if I go into court and say I falsified the report they'll be forced to drop any charges on him (I'm the only witness/victim anyway). I'd like to know what penalties I'll be facing for this and what I can do to minimize them? I'm 17 btw.
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoGetting a therapist without parental consent?
I'm 17, and I need to find a therapist in my location, but I'd rather my dad not know. My mom lives a few states away so she can't exactly help. Shes pays my insurance bills so she'd be the only one to know, but I want to know if I can go see a therapist, do intake, and get regularly scheduled sessions on my own. I have all the stuff I'd need (license, insurance card, SS card, enough money to cover the co-pay), but do I have to have an adult with me to start going?..
3 AnswersMental Health9 years agoWorried about getting fired?
I've been working my current job for around 6-7 weeks. I've been late twice and had to take off early once, but I made up the lost time within a day or 2 after each incident. Those were all do to problems with my medication btw. And now I can't make it into work this morning... Anyway, do I have anything to worry about if I make up the lost time?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoWW2 story, true or not?
I heard a story about WW2 a few years back, I just wanted to know if it's true or not. It was about an american soldier who was lagging behind the rest of his squad, and he came across a japanese soldier who was only 13-14. The Japanese soldier had a handgun and was about to shoot the American guy, but he had no ammo. So the American soldier, noticing that he was just a kid, gave him his rifle and let him go. I really don't know why this story sticks in my head so much or why I even care if it's real or not. But has anyone else ever heard this story?...
1 AnswerHistory9 years agoHydrotherapy and water fasting?
I've been feeling really out of touch with myself lately, so I've decided to do hydrotherapy (cold showers only) and a 14 day water fast (not eating or drinking anything besides water and occasionally juice). I'm scared to start, but I think it'll be better in the long run. I just want to know what to expect, has anyone tried either of these that could give me some tips?
1 AnswerMental Health9 years agoHow old does a co-signer for a bank account need to be in Texas?
I'm 17 and I'd like to open up a bank account, I know I can't do it by myself and my dad has some weird paranoia about cosigning for me. So I was just wondering if my 18 year old brother could?
3 AnswersPersonal Finance9 years agoWhy do athiests and christians spend so much time arguing on here?
I mean, honestly... I know 90% are trolls, and I like to troll online every once and awhile too, but is there really no one out there actually interested in religious origins or exploring spirituality? Nobody that really wants to go deeper into why people believe what they believe and why they believe it. Nobody that questions their own beliefs or wonders what else there is to find by just contemplating their own life for a few moments.. Why even bother arguing about it? Just believe what you think is right. If you believe in a God, don't condemn others for not believing the same. Same for people who don't think there is a God. Is this really all that people have to think about?... Everyone is just pigeonholed and entrenched into their beliefs that they don't even stop to consider what a religion is about in the first place.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoTired of the monotony of life?
Anyone else ever feel like this? All I do anymore is work, sleep, and eat.. Tired of the same friends, tired of the same job, the same scenery, people, schedule. Pretty much everything. I'd like a change, but I have no money to do anything or go anywhere.. How do I get out of this?
1 AnswerPsychology9 years agoWhat are the chances of surviving an 80 mph collision into a tree?
A little back story as to why I'm asking this, there's a tree in my town called the hanging tree. It was used for lynchings back in the old days. It's pretty much right on a straight road, so people use it to commit suicide pretty often (it's been hit about 8 times from people going 60-70mph and it's still standing). Anyway, some kid tried it a few days ago, he was going 80, no seatbelt, and hit the tree head on. He survived, not without some serious damage of course. So, honestly, what are the chances of surviving that?....
3 AnswersSafety9 years agoCan't get a good nights sleep?
For the past month or so I've been waking up every night at the same time (12:50-1:00 am) and I can't fall back asleep. I've been through about 14 different sleeping medications and nothing seems to work. Are there any little things I can do to make myself fall back to sleep?
1 AnswerOther - General Health Care9 years agoWeird, macabre question about cutting/severed veins?
Long story for why I'm asking this, but I'll make it short. I saw someone who had severed a vein in his wrist and I could see both ends of the vein sticking 1/2 - 1 inch out of the cut. And he sort of pulled on it like a rubber band (got this guy to a hospital asap btw), I always wondered what would've happened if he severed it again an inch or so past the first cut.. Would you be able to just tug the severed vein right out of your arm? If so, how would/could that be treated?
2 AnswersInjuries9 years agoSome pre-employment questions?
I was interviewed for a job two weeks, sent in for a pre-employment drug test about a week ago. I called the company for a follow up and they told me they'd call me once the results are cleared, but it's been around 4 days since I called. I'm worried that they might have went with someone else for the job or something like that, it just seems like it's taking longer than it should for the drug test results to come in.. Anyway, is it normal for there to be this long of a wait? Could they be doing a background check too?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoPre-employment drug test question?
I was interviewed at Wal-Mart a few days ago and was asked to take a pre-employment drug test. Just wondering if when they ask you to take one, does it mean you're definitely hired? And about how many days does it usually take for the results to come in? Btw, haven't done any drugs, drank, or anything like that..
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoJob drug test coming up?
I did the interview and everything and they said all they needed was a drug test. I was just wondering if it matters what I wear when I go do it. And how long would it be for the results to come in?
