I have been one acquainted with the day.

I have watched eyes that glimmer.

I have seen spring that left me nothing to say.

I have looked past the lights that were dimmer.

I have passed by the unseen shadow.

And have removed the regrets before clearer.

I have walked through the evergreen meadow.

When far away many enchanted lights mocked.

I knew no one could be low.

Now I knew how the luminous sky burned.

And the fire gave away my soul with gay.

I found my life was locked and formed.

I needn’t look for the sunlit ray.

I have been one acquainted with the day.
