  • Interesting HDMI issue with Onkyo receiver?

We have an Onkyo receiver that poses an interesting problem.... it has 2 HDMI pass throughs ( older model), but ONLY passes through the video and NOT the audio. That was fine for a few years, since it does have 2 fiber optic and 1 digital coax input. HOWEVER, we want to move the receiver to the bedroom. We have a blu ray in the bedroom that ONLY has HDMI out.

How can we run the blu ray through the receiver for 5.1 sound, if the receiver only passes through video , and the blu ray only has HDMI out? Is there a doggle or converter that would seperate the audio from the hdmi, so we can connect to the receiver with fiber optic or digital coax? We want to use the receiver , since the TV speakers are poor and not surround sound.

  • What should be done next with Jericho?

Just curious on how you think next week should play out

Since its obvious that Chris likes to overstay his welcome in the ring over the last 2 weeks as

he is playing someone who is very full of himself (much like his Wcw days)

I would have Jericho come out again, do his thing for a long time only to be finally interrupted by Cm punk . Jericho overplays his babyface act and when punk calls him out on Chris snaps and beats the hell out of Punk while yelling I am better and more popular than you!

Do you think that is the next step to the eventual WM match?

Jericho can play a delusional heel that thinks he is a babyface

  • What was the best year for the WWE Womens Division?

    None of this Divas crap

I consider the years between 2001 and 2006 to be the best time ever for the women in the WWE.

What do you think the best year was?

My choice is the 2002-2003 season.

During that time the WWE had Trish, Lita, Victoria (heel Victoria was the best), Molly,Gail Kim Torrie Wilson, Stacey Kiebler, Jazz and Mickie James (Mickie as a psycho Trish obsessed heel was also the best) ... and I am thinking I am missing a few.

  • Is this caused by Luvox or Caffeine Withdrawal?

My husband has been on Luvox for about 10 days now to treat General Anxiety and Depression... His Depression and worry has seemed to have gotten much better... There were many days when he just didnt want to get out of bed. He doesnt stay in bed anymore and along with the SSRI, he is also doing CBT. What is happening though is he has cut his Caffeine intake about 75%, due to the fact that Luvox has a major interaction with Caffeine. He would have at least one iced coffee in the morning and drink a good amount of Diet Coke (average about 4 or 5 cans or so). He now has 1 cup of Decaf coffee and that is it,

Since he has started 10 days ago, he is complaining that he becomes VERY lethargic and fatigued in the afternoon, enough to the point that he has to lie down for a nap... He was never a nap taker before. He is sure it is not the Depression, because he doesnt want to lie down, he would rather be doing something,

So any thoughts on whether its the Luvox or the Withdrawal from Caffeine?

He is supposed to come up to 200 mg of Luvox soon, but is looking for some advice before taking to his Doctor.

  • My Husbands Physical Medicine Doctor is prescribing him Methadone!?

My husband has neck spurs and Arthritis in his neck that causes him moderate to sometimes severe pain (pain level 5 up to about an 8). He doesn't like to take medication that is going to make him "loopy" during they day. His primary had him on 3-4 Vicodin 500 per day... my husband would take 3 during intervals from the time him came home by 2:30 or 3pm so he doesn't have to do alot of driving (he is a sales rep). It has been working for him, to help him after the afternoon and evening with the kids and I etc

Ok, so my husband gets sent to Physical Medicine, and the first thing the doctor does is take him off of the Vicodin and wants to start him on 5 mg Methadone! Both her and the Primary after several discussions with the drs. (or email and messages since this is Kaiser), will not let my husband get a second opinion even though he has asked for one. When he asked for the 2nd opinion, the primary did not get back to him and he also would not do a refill on the Vicodin to hold him over until he gets the 2nd opinion.

So, as it stands today, my husband called the office and spoke to the nurse... the nurse said that the Physical Medicine Dr has sent a referral to pain management (without consulting with my husband first), BUT he cannot get the referral until he picks up the Methadone and starts it.

What the hell is going on here? Isn't Methadone a severe drug for my husband and his neck issue? Why are they so against refilling the Vicodin (which he takes according to directions), yet they want him to take a medication that from what we see online is a highly dangerous and addictive drug? One of the othe options was to go on Pamelor and then continue the Vicodin, but when my husband finally went back and called them and chose that option the next day, the Physical Medicine Dr told him that if that happens it has to go back to the Primary... He tells the Primary, and he denies this option and pushes the Methadone! Sorry for the rambling, but this doesn't make sense to either of us?

What do guys think? Do you find this odd? Please give serious answers only.

  • Why cant our Blu Ray player access the internet?

We just purchased the Panasonic DMP-BDT210p Blu Ray player with built in wifi... We currently have wireless in the home via the Net Gear N300 Wireless Router (WNR2000)

When trying to setup the wireless with the Blu Ray player the following message comes up.

The Current settings only offer minimal wireless access point security and low performance. Your Wireless Network Router should be 5 GHZ for performance.

We are trying to figure out why the N router is not good enough, or if this is even the case?

Our wireless was security enabled, but we disabled it so we could LAN the blu ray and upgrade the firmware. It still does not connect.

    Are we missing something here?

  • Is my 6 year old daughter's friend being molested?

My daughter, had her friend over for a sleep over a few weeks back.... a couple days later, my daughter tells my wife and my daughters grandmother, that while her and her friend were reading the Cat in the Hat Book (the one based on the movie), her friend told her a story.

Her friend said that she saw a movie called the Cat in the Hat 2 and in it the Cat in the Hat's "privates" were being kissed by a girl, and the Cat in the Hat was kissing the girls "privates".

My daughter brought it up to her grandmother because grandpa used to work in Hollywood and she wanted to know if he worked on that movie. Our daughter did think it was an odd story though.

Today, that same friend was over and I nonchalantly asked her if she knew where I could get the Cat In the Hat 2 movie that she told my daughter about, because I couldn't find it at Blockbuster... her friend got a upset look on her face and at first denied that there was a movie, then her friend said, oh yeah "I must have dreamt that" she then got real quiet for a few minutes.

My wife and I confirmed later on with my daughter about the story, and that it was this friend that told it to her... she told us for sure it was her.

What is your opinion on this? Should we tell her friends parents? Should we wait it out and see if her friend says anything else? We wouldn't want this to be a cry for help and then not be able to help out. We also don't want to make it something bigger than it is.

  • Question about N Wireless DSL Router and G USB Wireless Card?

We are using an N Wireless DSL Router and a G USB Wireless on the back of the computer. We have noticed that outside wireless internet from other sources have been knocking us off our internet. Our wireless disappears and is replaced by these other internet sources.

If we buy a N USB Wireless for the back of the computer, should that fix the issue? We are wondering if the strength of our internet is compromised because we are not using an N USB.

  • Question and my husband and his fathers death?

This is difficult to explain, but I will try my best.... My husbands father died suddenly of a heart attack 5 years ago... In 2006, my husband was diagnosed with General Anxiety after having alot of physical symptoms that led him to go to the doctor. He started to have problems within 2 months of the anniversary of his dads death (he died on Dec 5th after 2 weeks on life support.)

This year, after a bout with the stomach flu that we all got, he has been feeling lightheaded. He has been over the flu for 7 days. On Sat he had what he believes to have been a panic attack (dizziness, tight chest, muscle tightness, lump in throat, feeling of disconnection.)

He does have medication he can take for Panic attacks and his GAD.... Is it possible at all that this happens every year around this time because of his dads death? Its been 5 years and we are not sure if he should be moved on with his grief by now. He is a great guy, we have 2 children, he does have stress in his job.... but this only seems to happen during this time frame.

Any thoughts? And please serious opinions only.
