  • sore uterus = pregnancy?

trying to conceive over the last several months. lately I've had a really sore uterus - not crampy but like it's bruised. The whole thing feels that way (it's not from trying to make a baby). Gets worse with BM or orgasm. Period is due in 4 days...is this normal for early pregnancy or could it be something else?

  • question about ovulation and pregnancy?

OK - so I know if you ovulate your mucus has an egg-white consistency - my question is would I still see that consistency if I ovulated and there were sperm waiting and I was able to get pregnant from that?

  • why are men's stomachs so firm when they're fat?

Women tend to get soft stomachs but men's get really firm (if they're really overweight). Anyone know why this happens?

  • Can I get "cauliflower ear" by sleeping on my side?

I sleep on my right side most of the time and I'm worried that I'll get cauliflower ear. Sometimes I wake up and it's really sore and aching because I laid on it for so long.

  • wht do u thnk of email txt wrtng?

why do so many people have to type out their questions with such abbreviated writing? At the risk of sounding old and crotchety, I just wonder are we all really in that much of a hurry? Do you think this is creating a generation of people who don't know how to express themselves in writing anymore? Or is it just a result of all of the text messaging that is going on. In all honesty, without wanting to sound too snooty - when I read someone's email/question and it says stuff like "im here 4 u so hope u dont try 2 hurt me n my frnds.." I kind of think that the person must be stupid or really young or something. Seriously - I would like to know why it is that people don't want to type out their thoughts using the full english language.... answers from people who use this type of writing are appreciated!

  • How long will my dog live?

I have a black lab/shepherd/boxer/cattle dog mix (I know- crazy but this is what they told me when I adopted her, and she does look a little like each of those, but mostly lab). She is almost 8. I've heard her referred to as a senior. I don't think of her that way at all. We walk/run for almost an hour daily so I would say she's in pretty good shape, after losing several pounds (she got a bit tubby there for awhile). She definitely seems more prone to injuries/soreness than she used to, but I think of her as a young thing still because she loves to play like a puppy. Can you tell me what you think the lifespan of a dog of this type would be?

  • My dog has a bump - should I get it checked?

She used to be overweight but we've trimmed her up with less food and more exercise. Now I've noticed a bump (about the size of a small egg) on her ribcage. It actually feels like it's under her ribs. It doesn't seem to be getting bigger, but it's hard to tell. It is painless to her, from what I can tell. What is the probability that it's harmless? She is a black lab/shepherd mix and is almost 8 yrs old and weighs 54lbs. She takes Chlomipramine for separation anxiety and has been taking that for a year.

If I do have to take her to the vet, what will they do and how much do you think it will cost?

  • Is exercise absolutely necessary if you have diabetes?

My husband is a late onset type 1 diabetic (33yo) and he just will not exercise. Otherwise he takes good care of himself, eats right and keeps his sugars pretty low. He has no other health problems. He's on cholesterol medication as a precaution (because his diet tends to be a little higher in fat). I'm wondering if he is doing any long term damage by not exercising now. Is it a MUST to exercise or is it just recommended generally.
